@@Nitromethanification -- Aren't you assuming that this person's life is similar to yours? You not having reason to say the word often doesn't mean others wouldn't. Y'know, narcissism usually leads to intellectual laziness; neither are admirable characteristics.
Henri de Lagardère I suspect it might have been suppressed over copyright, because I just started getting comments on this video this last week and I’ve had it up for 9 years.
@@jlnajera 🎵 A copyright strike directed at me The number of strikes on my channel sits at 3 Why can’t RU-vid just let me be? The answer’s not really a mystery 🎵 In all seriousness RU-vid’s copyright shit is the worst, I wish you the best.
I hear this song in my head almost every time I hear the word "mystery" which is why I now have to send it to my friend because I was giggling earlier when she said it.
Mystery All my life has been a mystery You and I were never ever meant to be That's why I call my love for you A mystery Different country You and I have always lived In a different country And I know that airline tickets don't grow On a tree So what kept us apart is plain for me to see That much at least Is not really a mystery Estuary I live in a houseboat on an estuary Which is handy for my work With the Thames Water Authority But I know you would have found it Insanitary Insanitary Taken a violent dislike to me I'd be foolish to ignore the possibility That if we'd ever actually met You might have hated me Still that's not the only problem that I can see Dead since 1973 You've been dead now Wait a minute let me see 15 years Come next January As a human being you are history So why do I still long for you Why is my love so strong for you Why did I write this song for you Well I guess it's just a mystery Just a mystery Mystery
A bonus verse: "Intimacy - Remember nights of our sweet intimacy Those tender moments filled with . . . ecstasy Actually, if I’m being honest, I was solit'ry Solit'ry ." : )
I'm currently enjoying the confounding search to pinpoint the exact genus of a mushroom I discovered on a farm a few days ago and yes, this song began blaring in my thoughts as soon as I realized I was in the midst of a mystery! 😂 😂
Honestly, that last part feels kind of real. Loved a woman from another country. She died 15 years ago, but he still can't get over her. If this wasn't intentionally comedic, you could make a sad love song out of it.
I have just come back to this after listening to Yesterday (Beatles). Am I imagining things or is this actually supposed to be a parody of Yesterday?? Now I can't unhear the likeness! It would tie in with Laurie's other performance of Hey Jude in this series...
BONUS VERSE Intimacy - Remember nights of our sweet intimacy ! Thooose tender moments filled with ... ecstasy ! Actually, if I’m being honest, I was solit'ry. Solit'ry : )
*listing why he's not meant to be with the woman he's singing about only to mention at the end that she's...* 1:55 'Dead since 1973eee You've been dead now, wait a minute let me see, *counting the years in his head :D* 15 years come next Januareee As a human being you are a historyyyy' Great comedy and sense of humour :`D And his voice reminds me of Rowan Atkinson ;)
Fry and Laurie didn't need a laugh track, that's people actually laughing in the studio... they have quite a few bits throughout their show interacting with the audience
@@noddyboffin2988 I agree that they didn’t need a laugh track, I just wasn’t aware that it was recorded in front of a live audience. The laughter still bugs me though.
