I love this song so much. it's been 7 years since I discovered it, I can't say I still laugh hysterically like the first few times but I always enjoy it
BONUS VERSE Intimacy - Remember nights of our sweet intimacy ! Thooose tender moments filled with ... ecstasy ! Actually, if I’m being honest, I was solit'ry. Solit'ry : ) my work here is done
@DrGregoryGregHouseMD He's not an idiot that doesn't know about Hugh Laurie -.- Oh big fan! Don't you know that he sang this LIVE in 2008 and change the lyrics? Although, not big time, one might expect you noticed the changes since this new version is a little bit better fit.
I already knew that -.- the song was written in 1986 and presented in an episode of A Bit of Fry & Laurie. I never said it was from "You Don't Know My Mind". And please check your grammar. I didn't understand what you wrote at last.
@@MikeMeehan I think Sam might have just been commenting on the fact that in the original version Hugh sings "you've been dead since 1993", as opposed to the original version where he sang "1983" instead.
Hopefully there will be a 2022 version, so then it would be " dead since 1973, you've been dead now, just a minute let me see... 50 years next January"
The original wasn't definitely done in more of a comedic way, as it was written for a comedic sketch show. This version is definitely more somber, but I'm sure that people attended remembered it more in its comedic form
2008 isn't new. And it especially isn't from the Single "You don't know my mind". Don't tell that one person, who kissed hugh laurie - she already know everything of him.
i agree but i still love this version though. it's a bit more sincere and the laugh lines come as a surprise, whereas the 80s version is a pure laugh the entire time.
