My word I'm American and I have never seen Jonathan Ross so young. I'm known of the man's work for an over a decade. I'm so old I don't have any sense of how long ago I learned of Jonathan Ross but it's striking. It should certainly wasn't when I was six when this was filmed. Or taped more likely but still. He's always struck me as a genial sort and I always approve of him conducting interviews so seeing him like 33 years ago. Wow! It was really fun way to find out that he's been on TV for that long. I came because I'm a huge bit of fry & Laurie fan But that was an unexpected and amusing bonus The play he's describing I'm sure did not do well, but it sounds like an intriguing critique of capitalism that relied on succeeding in capitalism to be considered a success. So the fact that it didn't is a meta-textual commentary on the system it was itself critiquing.
