I have been a tube (valve) user for decades. But since I use the Black Spirit floor I sold all my stuff. The Black Spirit is all I need. Killer playing and great review.
I just purchased one and found this video.I think this is a major step for SS amps to the next gen of amps and musicians. What a shredder you are mate! cheers!
Still rocking it! Granted I am a bit of a gear whore so I switch up from time to time, But I ironically plugged her back in last night and still was impressed. I would say definitely worth every penny and then some. CHEERS!
Oh yes, this amp is really really very interesting. Many guitarist just dont want to accept that this one plays like a real Tube Amp and is also sounding fantastic. Rally nice one!!
Thanks for the video man, very helpful and informative. I love the all in one idea of the floor model, and I think it sounds great most of the time. Although I’m not sold on the high gain sound which is what I play most often. But I probably need to try it in person instead of listening through RU-vid.
HEY!! Really great video!! I like the sound you get out of that amp very much!! Can you tell me the settings from the Ultra Channel? I am not able to get such a good tone out of mine... It's much to dark and I don't know how to dial it... :(
Do you still play this amp? I considering getting one very soon, in matter of days for my humble home studio, but i`m bit put off on videos on You Tube. Your examples are one of few that actually sounds pretty decent. I mainly play metal and use 7 strings, one in A, another in B tuning. Kind regards, Dado.
@@jesseparrish9198 I cant be happier. All channels have their sound so various tones can be achieved. I building currently pedalboard, aquiring different overdrive pedals, treble boosters etc to get some personal preferences.
Are you going direct of the back of the unit or using a mic? Little for your information, the "G and H" is silent in Hughes so you say the same has Who's but with a H at the beginning. Ola England gets this wrong as well, its a goofy English thing.
Awesome Video, i have my BS-200 head also 1 year and i'm absolutly satisfied. Besides one thing what i miss is a little bit more openess and sharpness, clarity on the lead and ultra channel. Specially when you playing at low Volume at Home or little Gigs. Maybe in the next Updated Version HK, refined the voicing a bit better i would buy the New head BS-200 MKII. Right now, cool Amp, cool Company, Best RND Team ever Rich and Co...... They listen to the customers, thats the Trick. Rock on 😎💪👍👍👍👍👍🎶🎸🔉⚡🔥😎
I use an MXR 10band EQ-Pedal in the FX-Loop to have more clarity in the lead- and ultra-channel. Works really good and I also achieve a lot of additional tonal versatility with it.
@@Affeaffebanane Was thinking exactely that. An eq can do allot. For the gain you definitely don't need an extra pedal. The gain is already there. The full eq band is in front of the amp. H&k is easy and you can go straight to the board with this thing.
Hi great feedback about this amplifier family. For half the price, the boss Katana family is available and for 50% more you have the Revv G20 with two notes captor integrated. To me these are two solid competitors of the black spirit for amps. Then we have the high end modelers like Kemper and Helix but you already mention why you prefer the H&K. I would like to have your opinion on the boss and the Revv. Thanks.
