For a girl that has ‘be kind’ in her Instagram bio, she sure did take a lot of pleasure by being anything but? I think Hugo held himself well here because this display was totally uncalled for! I’ve seen a LOT of men on this show get away with awful behaviour and not be treated anywhere near as poorly. He just wasn’t interested in perusing a relationship with her and she behaves like this? 1000%, I don't get the Hugo bashing at all. Everyone saying he's terrible. I always judge character based on intention and although he made some mistakes along the way he always tried to make it right. She's legit bashing him on national television and he's not putting her down one bit. Do you know how hard that is to do?! Give the guy a break. Should he have been on love island? Prob not, it seems like finding love right now is something he may not be quite set up for yet and thats ok. Everyone/everything takes time! Is he a bad person? DEF NOT. I could name a million other guys in this series that would take that title.
They both claimed to have a better connection in Casa Amoré and agreed that things changed whenever they got back to the main Villa, however, I personally don't think they ever had a connection. When I watched them on Casa Amoré I felt as if both parties were forcing it for the sake of staying in the game. Hugo likes Chloe. I still stand by that because out of all the girls on Love Island he's always been closer to her and treated her differently. I believe that the sole reason he stuck up for Chloe was because he saw an opportunity to form a romantic connection with her. That's why I wasn't shocked or surprised that he pulled her for a chat and wanted to see where her head was at in terms of them being romantically involved. As for Amy, in my opinion, she wanted to be on Love Island. Hugo was the only guy actively pursuing her so of course she went along with it and entertained Hugo. That's why I believe they both forced it so I don't think Hugo is entirely off the mark whenever he said that he was her green light to get into the main Villa. I don't know… I could be wrong but to me it never seemed like a genuine connection or attraction from either party.

Me thinks the lady doth protest too much. Hugo is being classy here not even going at her, while she's just going overboard trashing him for no reason, because she only got to be on the show for a week. I don't think she was really into Hugo, she just wanted to be on the show. That's why things changed after he brought her back from Casa Amor. She didn't feel the need to put in the effort anymore, since she already got in.

For a “nice guy” Hugo is pretty conceited. 1.) He embarrassed Toby publicly and took a completely different approach with him at the ceremony than when they were talking one on one, never owned up to it either. 2.) He talks about never getting a chance and being on friend island. Well Shaz wanted to give him a chance, he friendzoned her, AJ was obsessed with him, he fobbed her off, Georgia was his “conventional type” immediately pied her off. And then he and Amy had difficulty and Amy said well we can be natural, we don’t have to put too much pressure (a.k.a. there’s something wrong but the door is still open bro), and he chucks her aside in his exit interview. So he can’t say he wasn’t given chances, he had plenty. 3.) He doesn’t try. Again there were multiple women who showed interest or semi interest. He doesn’t even have to do the traditional, man chases woman, thing just return advances to the women he says he likes or is attracted to. He doesn’t do that. He just says “I’ve got a spark,” watches it fizzle and then bounces. I might have been more receptive to his green card comments if I believed Hugo had put forth any effort with Amy. But he didn’t and the truth is he put in zero effort with pretty much all the women he interacted with. But his love island experience was tragic? Such a whiny little douche.

Completely different, Toby mislead multiple women into thinking they were gonna be something then found a new one each time, Hugo did the exact opposite by not misleading Amy and cutting it off as soon as he realised it wasn’t gonna work, you can’t force him to date her if he doesn’t want to, keep in mind they were together for a week where the waters were being tested, and Hugo clearly wasn’t keen on continuing, Amy is the one who clearly used him to get into the villa and is now acting like she never even got within 10ft of him

I get everyone thinks Hugo is a lovely lad from a girl's point of view but his whole demeanor is fake even down to him trying to banter and seem cool with the lads just doesn't sit right. He's socially awkward and really terrible at reading women and some of the things he says could only come from a person who's not self aware. To me he come across as quite odd with the lads and the women and very boring.

Bruh clearly she never liked him and used him to get into the villa by saying “cracking now that I’m away from Hugo”, she only looking for clout, and how can she say he’s terrible with women when she literally got with him? The fact she is acting like she’s never been within 20ft of Hugo and is acting like this, shows she’s bitter he didn’t give her what she wanted, more screen time. Pretty clear she used him for screen time and a spot in the villa. Plus anyone saying Hugo is fake or mislead her, it’s the opposite, he broke it off as soon as he realised it couldn’t work on the outside, and he let her know in the villa that it wasn’t feeling as smooth as it did in Casa. If it isn’t smooth in the villa then it is not gonna work in the real world, especially when you’re only a week in. You can’t force him to date someone he doesn’t want to, let him be.
It was pretty gross how everyone in the studio was encouraging Amy’s abuse and when Hugo expressed his feelings towards the end one of the co-hosts tells him to “just stop talking” like his feelings are invalid. Just gross, and Amy embarrassed herself
