But he is fluffy everywhere in him , what if he is growling at nights ? How can you sleep? Maybe he needs a litter box cause he is a cat after all, wouldn't there be "competition" between him and your pet?(dog , cat)

No way. There could be no story without the two of them. It was a sacrilege to kill off Catherine and try to replace her. Better to have buried the show than try to carry on without either one of them.

Tragedy this series did not continue, but there are some wonderfully written fanfic online by some talented devoted fans.

They could do it. Just make it where Catherine didn't die and was being kept alive somewhere.

@@stephie-jaxx3216 I do the same, watch entire series from pilot through all 3 seasons over and over again. In fact its so refreshing to return to the pilot where it all began, like beginning an amazing journey anew.

Scrappy527 What you wanted would have had the same effect. The series would have quickly ended because it should have not happened. Catherine and Vincent were not right for that kind of relationship with each other. The series gave us many, many indications why a more serious relationship would have never worked-Catherine had covered up Vincent injuring or killing criminals. As his dear friend, she could do this, but as his lover I think it would have some day been something she would feel she could no longer do. Another thing is that being his lover would have meant either forever hiding that fact or going to his home which would mean leaving her family and friends which is something I don't think she could have ever done.

They had an actual kiss (not the spirit one) at the end of Orphans.

You're right, not exactly 'happy' hugs late in season 2, but those episodes had some of the most brilliant acting of the series imo! Particularly the raw emotions from Vincent that Ron was so skillfully able to portray and 'Father' as 'Paracelsus' disguised as 'Father' .. Incomparable acting!

Jasleen Kaur I know perfectly well that it’s just a TV show, but the day I replied to your post I had tried to be a grown up and watch the last shows of the series (only 30 years later). But alas my girls heart that fell in love with them back in the day had me weeping like a school girl and I just decided that if I never watch it, it didn’t happen.
