As an Indian it is now a dream for me to drive on this road! Where is it? Anyways you have made a great video at high speed driving. It is fast but not aggressive as it always should be.Thank you.
Really-really impressive. Beautiful machines every one--including the motorcycle. A few spots were at 170ish KPH, or about 105 MPH. Still really fast, really cool. But I'm thinking you auta slow down too. The speed limit signs showed 70kph. Or about 40ish MPH. Means you're flying past cars at well over twice their speed. One wrong g move from them, and you biff.
I didn't have the courage to enjoy the top speed, so I slowed down and was actually afraid to drag race. It's true that the speed limit is significantly exceeded. One day I may receive a speeding fine in the mail. It was a very rural and quiet road, so I had the courage to do drag.

@@raven4328 yep. i came upon a group of c7 c8 corvettes at stoplight on my ktm 1190 adv. we all floored it..., side by side up to 80mph :-). was a blast!

Dude, you could have defnitely kept up with them, you need to ride in higher RPMS and shift much later! Porsche 911 does 0 to 60 in 3.5s, the K1600 in 2.8s
Good point bro. I was looking at the car, unaware that the supercars would drag. I've never actually used more than 6500rpm. Even below that, the k1600 was enough to run with a Korean car. Next time, if this happens again with a supercar, I will shift gears as advised.
In my area (still in s.e.a) superbike folks doesn't really like the idea of following/escorting a supercar group.its either ride FAR AWAY or YOUR ONLY SEE MY REAR EXHAUST PIPE high speed overtake.speed challange in-hatred mood are also common
you saw it exactly. SantaFe was also greedy and ran for a driving violation at the intersection. Perhaps the McLaren sprinted because of the Santa Fe, not my motorcycle. Not that you would have passed them, but depending on whether this is a K1600 GT, or K1600 GTL which runs the 1/4 mile in the high 10's - (GT), and low 11's (GTL)... - It didn't help that you didn't even come close to redline on that little pull in the beginning of the video. Nice bike though. My father used to own a BMW K1600 GTL. Beautiful machine!
Fines and penalties for speeding in Korea are quite high. To be honest, I've only used Red Zone RPM once or twice in the 8 years I've been riding GTL. Because I am not a racing rider. There is always a conflict between what is appropriate and what is excessive. My age is not too young. I'm in my mid 50's. The slow reaction and fear that comes from age are unavoidable.
@박종령 I get it. I'm in my mid 40's, and I don't ride or drive anything like I did when I was in my teens through mid 20's. Whenever I do get on it in either my car or motorcycle, I always make sure there are no side streets. I get my fix by going to the track on the weekends when it's nice outside. It is also a felony in Korea. However, the owners of the supercars are probably wealthy, so it seems that reports have not been made yet. It looks like you will have to pay a very expensive fine. But it doesn't matter. An opportunity like this will never come again in my life.
@@freemenofengland2880 I know. but i dun wanna change my bike. I love my K1600. And speeding in Korea imposes a lot of demerit points and fines. Maybe I could be fined for this video.
@@raven4328 I see. It's pretty much the same here in England these days. We have to choose our times and places pretty carefully if we want to speed. Yes the K1600 is a wonderful bike. Has S Korea announced dates for going electric?
You didn't even get anywhere near the redline of the bike, up to 210 you could have aced any of those cars, after that, they have a higher end speed and they would start catching up and eventually overtake you. But in the quarter mile, none of those cars would have taken that bike out, not in a pro rider's hands.
Yeah. You'r right. I've never had the throttle open to the redline. I'm just a normal person who enjoys riding motorcycles. I will work hard to improve my skills a little bit more.
