HUINA V4 580 REPAIR ALREADY????? 

funny enough you mention that because i try most of the time to have them rotating opposite one another when they turn. if i keep them moving it dose help to keep the dirt from jammin more and more into the tracks. on my v2 i actually thought it was the best part of the model. i think the motors are strong, but with all the linear force applied to weak metal, its only a matter of time befroe something causes it to break. thanks for watching it, certainly alot longer than i usually make.

Yes! They leak oil and I just found out when a linear actuator for the bucket stopped working.

YES! The motor needs to be cleaned or there is dirt stuck in the drive sprockets!

Pull the lower drive motor housing and see what the gears and the lube looks like. The drive motor housing is not sealed very well.

i took out the smoke machine and put a 2200mah 7.4v in it, and changed the plug to a traxxas end.

i dont think they are universal when it comes to the motors, i think you need to be very diligent when it comes to getting the right parts you need. you can get them its just its up to you to make sure you get the right ones,

i have this issue some times with alot of my models, the only thing i ever thought i could do would be if i ran seperate escs, then maybe on the transmitter you could try adjusting end points to speed up or slow down individual motors, but as for stock, i have no idea how you would do it.

@@rcconstructionincanada3754 I am thinking to use a resistor between the plus of the motor who is turning to fast,the only problem is to find the right resistor so the tracks run equal/(same speed.)

@@glennelzinga523 just keep this in mind, for every failure i have had with these kinds of machines, it has been the premise to learn, and either build better or learn how to fix. so no matter how frustrating it can be spending the money and having things shit the bed, its also a great way to learn how to fix stuff too :)

I should've mentioned off the top that I really enjoyed your very informative video.. well done! The 580 brought huge fun factor points out of the box, and I had already researched the hydraulic conversion kits to make it even cooler, but then, boom,.. failure. ; ) (sorry,.. had to do it) I did in fact consider the possibilities as you spoke about the opportunity to grow and learn a new hobby, and I started thinking that I could learn as you did. Could even be fun, but for the money spent, I expected a much better product. To have the unit fail on its third battery charge cycle (seriously, in total, maybe 3 whole hours!!!!!!!), is very disappointing. Pair this early boom fail with the fact that Huina seems to blame us for every problem, by our 'abuse', and the whole idea has lost much of its appeal. I've submitted a return request, so it will be interesting to see how the seller responds with parts,... or attitude. On another note,.. I am new to your channel, so I don't know if you have any experience with the hydraulic conversion kits available. I am wondering about how the new boom cylinders and the remaining original boom gearbox housing may work in conjunction with each other, of if the new hydraulics render the old gearbox obsolete. Any help from you or anyone else here would be great, thanks.

i think it kind of is what it is, maybe you could try to change the rpm, but i think maybe you need totally different motors etc, that could be a nightmare to achieve. or try a hydraulic upgraded version, but thats also expensive i think. thanks for checking out the video!

@@Ronson1996 ah, you have to force the spring on the idler wheel in towards the sprocket. it is a very very strong spring. that will allow you to pull the track off. it will take some effort. best of luck

i am not sure i have not looked, but i have bouts it is all metal. and if it is its chinese metal sooo....

not that i am aware of, unless you redo the whole thing and try putting faster rpm motors in it, but that is alot of work, and i dont know about the gearboxes being effective etc.... that is alot of things to work out etc.....

@@neilhamilton2621 You already have the best arm servos. I bought a 1592 and it has NO POWER.

The 1550 is even weaker. The servo's in the 1580 are monsters! I STILL COOKED ONE.

I do not have contact info for them sorry, i would aviod seagle trade, as have heared other people have bad experiences with them too, you probably will have to go on aliexpress to order parts, or maybe try amazon. theny might have something, the price might be more though. hard to say. glad i could help, cheers!
