You, me, and everyone else in these comments and in the world says things either jokingly or seriously that you would never want to be made public. Deny it and you are absolutely lying to yourself.
As much as I like to throw around the "Remember when Andre the Giant tripped at Wrestlemania 3" or "Who's Hull Cogan?" jokes, I forgive him over this issue. He made a mistake, we all do. So anyone out there who still wants to say "Fuck Hulk Hogan. What a racist prick." let me all remind you that Vince McMahon himself once said "Mah Nigga" to John Cena while Booker T was a few feet away from that little exchange.
+randezzel27 Plus take a lot at some gimmicks they gave Black stars. The most noteworthy is Mike "Virgil" Jones, who was billed as the bodyguard of The Million Dollar Man and depicted like a slave. Virgil said he wants Hogan to come back on good terms and "Hogan has never given me any reason to believe he is a racist." If anybody knows what true racism is, it's Virgil. If Virgil says somebody is not racist, you better believe they ain't racist, Brother!
Hulk Hogan being a Racist actually opened up new avenues for him. Like being a guest analyst on Fox News, Doing guest appearances on CMT, appearing in commercials for Rosanne Barr's tweet causing medication Ambien and being a spokesperson for the Republican Party.
"I don't want my kids growing up in a racial jungle." "If you don't vote for me, you ain't black." "Poor kids are just as good as white kids." -Joe Biden. Tell me about it. Just look at these racist, Republican rants.

+SymphonicAngel Isn't it funny that its always the middle class white guys who are quickest to write off racism and claim to be egalitarian…why is that, do you think?
+Arthur Quezada Because society tends to have a very shitty judgement when it comes to a lot people. Society likes forgiving certain people who truly don't deserve even when they're being douchebags. He said sorry and admitted he should not have said it, i say move on from it. This is supposed to be the land of second chances. He seems like a good guy and like i said he said sorry.
Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven. Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

After all the racist crap WWE has pulled over the years, they have the nerve to erase Hogan from existence for one word?
Coming from a black background, I forgive Hogan for a number of reasons: 1. Yes he did say it. BUT I've listened to the tape, and he is not using it as an insult to Brooke's BF. He is simply referring to him as that word. Us Puerto Ricans do it all the time but we never say it to make you feel uncomfortable. 2. He had no idea he was being recorded, specially a persona family argument. 3. It was in 2012 and if Im not mistaken, so was his security cam sex video. 4. The man has 30 years worth of legacy. And to tarnish that cuz of an old mistake he did, is absolutely stupid. Cuz Vince McMahon isn't exactly a great guy. He is a LEGIT racist. He is a LEGIT homophobic, and the man is bent on domination and not the good kind. More like taking over your power until you run outta bussiness. So if they had a heart and empathy, they'd just forgive him and maybe gave him a suspension for unprofessional conduct, slap on the wrist and the end

malakiy hodges Not everyone does it on a regular basis, but everyone slips up from time to time. I know every human being says things in private to close friends/family that they wouldn't want recorded and broadcasted to the world, including racial slurs.
We still judge him to this day, but we defend people for much much worse things. We defend people who have killed with vicious intent, people who admit and refuse to give up on addictions, but when a celebrity says a word like this we want them to end their own life and for their career to be over. All of us are human, and we all make mistakes. This controversy with Hogan has garnered millions of eyes, and you best know that some of the people who judge him and bash him for this mistake say these exact same words.

90% of people that use that word aren't even racist. Most people dont know what it is to be racist. They just try to act it. Most people dont have a deep seeded hatred for another race. But the word comes in handy to Express anger. That is it.

This is why you should watch what you say. Even if its not intentional, one simple racial word can jeopardize everything you worked for and ruin your reputation.

Blacks say they made it ours and it’s a term of endearment but when you see how it’s used for the most part it’s not. Whether black people know it or not it’s being used at its core as a word to describe basically a lower class individual
i feel totally the same way. was recording him on weekends onto vhs in 83 till like 87. he was a hero for our generation and that entire span of wrestlers then. we looked up to them and did what they did on the playground, and wrote about them exclusively for creative writing assignments, bought their gear etc etc.. he may not be perfect, but i am on the fence about strolling down to his hangout to, "hangout" and pay $50 to get a photo with him and shake his hand and go on and on about what he has meant to me
Saying a racial slur or any word in his privacy is his right. He gets a pass. Actually he should have just stated that he prefers his daughter to date & marry her own race. Nothing wrong with that.
