According to Bischoff in his book “Controversy Creates Cash” even he didn’t know Hogan was going to do it until he showed up that day. But honestly, having Sting turn heel would’ve been bigger. @anthonyanderson9303 Honestly, the Wolfpac was working and could've worked well. Hogan and Bischoff hated it because they were making Hogan's NWO look bad, so Hogan cried his way into the wolfpac backstage, thus giving us the fingerpoke of doom, killing the Wolfpac, Hollywood NWO, and Goldbergs mystique in one night. Everything done in 1998 was rendered useless in that one night. Then we had Hogan wearing JNCOs talking gangster "My trigger finger, Brother!" It was cringe and sent most of us to the wwf for good.

I mean any time the NWO was out there taking over and beating up WCW wrestlers the crowd every time was chanting we want sting we want sting. He was every bit the draw and maybe more than the NWO. I was 18 and I was in 7th heaven every time he made an appearance it was like a drug to me. He was clouded in mystery and wonder. It was like time stood still when he showed up. These two men right here came from a great big organization up north and everybody was wondering who the third man was. Well, who knows more about that organization than me, brother? [GO]: I've been there, I've done that. You have made the wrong decision in my opinion. [HH]: Well, let me tell you something. I made that organization a monster. I made people rich up there. I made the people that ran that organization rich up there, brother. And when it all came to pass, the name Hulk Hogan, the man Hulk Hogan, got bigger than the whole organization, brother. And then, Billionaire Ted, amigo; he wanted to talk turkey with Hulk Hogan. Well, Billionaire Ted promised me movies, brother. Billionaire Ted promised me millions of dollars. And Billionaire Ted promised me world-caliber matches. And as far as Billionaire Ted goes, Eric Bischoff, and the whole WCW goes, I'm bored brother. That's why these two guys here, the so-called Outsiders, these are the men I want as my friends. They are the new blood of professional wrestling, brother. And not only are we going to take over the whole wrestling business with Hulk Hogan and the new blood, the monsters with me, we will destroy everything in our path, Mean Gene. [Fans pelt the ring with garbage] [GO]: Look at all of this crap in this ring. This is what's in the future for you if you want to hang around the likes of this man Hall and this man Nash. [HH]: As far as I'm concerned, all of this crap in the ring represents these fans out here. For two years, brother, for two years I held my head high. I did everything for the charities. I did everything for the kids. And the reception I got when I came out here - you fans can stick it, brother. Because if it wasn't for Hulk Hogan you people wouldn't be here. If it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff would be still selling meat from a truck in Minneapolis. And if it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, all these Johnny Come Lately's that you see out here wrestling wouldn't be here. I was selling out the world, brother, while they were pumping gas to put in their car to get to high school. So the way it is now, brother, with Hulk Hogan and the New World Organization of Wrestling, brother, me and the new blood by my side, whatcha gonna do when the New World Organization runs wild on you? Whatcha gonna do? What are you gonna do? GO: Hey, don't touch me, I got a fleet of lawyers. Tony, Bobby, Dusty, dammit, let's get back to you. [TS]: All right, we have seen the end of Hulkamania. For Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, for Dusty Rhodes, Gene Okerlund. I'm Tony Schiavone. Hulk Hogan, you can go to hell. We're outta here. Straight to hell. Courtesy Of Genius.com😢

“Starting to lose a little luster??” Gimme a break Terry Eugene Bollea! It had been stagnant since 91!! Or didn’t threw a tantrum at Vince, asking him to edit the RR 92 audio, on account of the cheering us fans did when Sid eliminated you? And as for its run in WCW, it never had that aura. I call BS!

@maturanita
@maturanita 8 месяцев назад
@@MiningForPies that’s not the issue here. The issue is that by late 91, the Hulkster gimmick was stale AF and us fans were fed up with it. We cheered so rabidly when Sid eliminated him from the RR that they had to edit it.

@MiningForPies 8 месяцев назад
@@maturanita yeah. If you read what I wrote, I called bullshit on Vince being forced by Hogan to edit it. Hogan pitched a heel turn to Vince before he left but he was rebuffed. Vince didn’t think a heel could make money.
@maturanita
@maturanita 8 месяцев назад
@@MiningForPies BS or not, Vince had that PPV edited so that nobody could listen to the crowd booing Hogan and cheering for Sid. Warrior also pitched the idea of turning heel, and Vince turned him down as well. Bottom line is, Hogan was stagnant by late 91.
