Just Some Guy with a Mustache Because if his opponents used any intelligence, Hulk would lose ALOT more. Telekinetics would levitate him where his strength is useless or he woukd wind uo tossed into another dimension or floating in orbit. But plot armor so doesn't happen. We get heroes ripped in half when it never happens with other fights. Just balled up fisticuffs lol
elbimio4u Riiight. See thats the kind of comic book logic that is used to just explain why the guy you like more should win. Lets apply science to a magical force, or try to explain how it can be overcome with sheer strength. But what if there isn't anything tangable to grab onto? Lets just say you can resist it with your own anyway. Sorry, its bunk. Just more plot armor, like Thor not just opening a rift and tossing Hulk into it, or any number of characters leaving him oit in space. Or will he find a way to use his strength to apply force in a vaccum and fly? Lol
Mitch Cowan Sending him out to space isn't a good idea. Planet Hulk and World War Hulk are examples of why that's a retarded Idea. Dr. Strange even says so. TK isn't even magic based tho... it's a control of weak forces. It's science based. It's like Graviton.
Before this year I thought this could never be adapted into a movie, but after Deadpool & Wolverine i could totally see this being one of the best action/adventure/comedies out of a superhero movie. Although if they ever did do this, they should get a totally new cast & just call it a different universe, that way they can be more comic-accurate.
Elijah Powell or f**ked up. with the exception of ultimate spiderman......it was a very very dark universe. I remember reading when they explained how Wanda and Pietro loved each other and it was then I realized....well shit...this universe is sooooo wrong. or when reed Richards became a villain.
So according to this, the Wolverine covered in adamantium could still be alive. This issue basically provides the reasoning that young Wolverine's brain is probably in "stasis" since he doesn't need food or oxygen to live. I mean why didn't they take him out of the adamantium case? I know it's incredibly difficult to remove it, but it isn't impossible. What about super heating it, or Magneto?
But how was he ripped in half shouldn’t his skin and muscles been torn off instead? He would have just been a adamantium skeleton from the waist down no? I think the writers overlooked that part unless adamantium is weaker in this universe?
Ultimate Hulk is more of a dumber Mr Hyde from League of Extraordinary Gentlemen... I like the sympathetic Monster. Hard to be sympathetic if you're a fuckin' cannibal!
Luis Rodriguez a lot superheroes have fast recovery. Meaning they heal in days or hours instead of weeks. That is why Spider-Man can take a beating and pull himself up and keep fighting.
Ryn problem is everybody thinks that this version of wolverine can survive deception and the real can’t but if you read enough comics you will learn that wolverine can survive deception and grow back body parts
This was one of the all time greatest delay book, that actually got finished, and still looks pretty good, despite it taking so long the artist style had really changed by the time he was finishing the book. It took from Dec 2005 to May 2009 to finally finish!
17:08 i remember reading this panel and what was so amazong about this was when tony was talking about the ultimate version of the superhero registration act and cap completle agrees
From one "Rob" to another can we please get some Jackie Estacado and the darkness material? I'd love to see one of your match up videos featuring him. Possibly against Spawn?
the relationship at the end between Logan and Hulk was funny af lol "I'm still pissed you ripped me in half" "you should talk to someone about that" lmao
The Phantazm I could swear he had a whole wolverine playlist. Anyways check the Age of Ultron playlist, The House of M playlist, The Civil War playlist, and everyone's favorite playlist starring Logan, The Death Of Wolverine
I never been a comic book reader , but there is so much stuff going in the marvel world .. I've watched over 100 videos of comic explained and my head is about to explode .. and I have no direction to start from
You don't really have to catch up on everything as long as you make a habit of reading regularly. Marvel NOW! just started again, so there are a bunch of new books starting. For the rest you could just use wiki sites or youtube to catch up on the lore you're missing.
Kris pea bacon Same here, I don't really read the comics but find the lore fascinating and addictive. I mostly watch RU-vid videos about it and read the wiki.
man i loved the early ultimate universe. Especially the Hulk. He was what you would expect a personification of rage to be. He was a murdering, cannibalistic, raping, take no shit from anybody, engine of destruction. I especially loved the part where he was climbing the side of a building looking for Freddy Prince Jr. so he could kill him for sleeping with Betty.
The chicken and egg relating to hulk and Bruce was extremely interesting and thought provoking please show me more stories that have moments like that one.
This is great. I never actually read any of the ultimate line comics, but this version of the Hulk seems cool. Now I want to know what happens with him and Betty. I actually feel bad about them being destroyed in Secret Wars now lol.
This is officially my favorite video on RU-vid!!! Every topic you explained reached my soul, I just wish the video was longer!! I love the movie Vantage Point, I like the Wolverine as the first mutant origin, I like the double Nick Fury references, a touch of Bruce Banner, all culminating into true comic book heaven. Maybe in the near future Disney will fix Xmen...
Marvel aint getting the Mutants back for the cinematic universe anytime soon, that's why they're destroying the Mutants in the comics to give Fox less marketing opportunites. It's also why Marvel is gearing up to launch The Inhumans as their replacement in their cinematic universe
Oliver Wilkes I'd like to think so dude but x men movies make lots of money for fox studios do they won't let it go just yet. maybe fantastic four will go but not x men
Bashir Kashmiri fox has confirmed that Logan may be there last xmen film, they make fox money true but its barely enough to scrape by, these movies are expensive to make they have very high paying actors, unless Logan is so mind bongllingly awesome that it completely changes the xmen status quo, it won't be enough for xmen to stay with fox
Oliver Wilkes dude, they're going to make a female wolverine film aka X-23 plus with Deadpool and New Mutants they're going to build a new mutant cinematic universe
man i love the hulk. i've watched all of your videos, and they are great. I didnt know the history of hulk up untill watching..Very well put together, and i can't wait for more content!!
bummed out that the title of this is hulk rips wolves in half. but when you finally get to that point, you gloss over it like it's no big deal. I actually missed it the first time and had to replay the video to find it. totally disappointed.
I absolutely fucking love this channel. You're the man, Rob. My wife is so tired of hearing your voice for hours on end, but I fixed that with headphones haha. Thanks for all the effort, it really goes a long way in our entertainment!
I love the banter between them at the end I would love to see a more team ups since hulk gave Wolverine the debut with this kind of banter/physical humor
I know guys predominately do not like seeing overtly muscular women. I get that. But I never understood why when there is She-HULK, she is almost never shown to be, in any degree, as overtly muscular as the HULK. HULK is a giant green super-musclebound monster. Even in his more civilized Banner Hulk version, Bruce Banner's brain with HULKs Body, and the least muscular version of the HULK, HULK was still huge. She-HULK is almost consistently presented as a modestly scaled up, fitness model, and that is if the artist dares to show any real muscle tone, not just wearing a one piece that is a size or two too small. Physically powerful characters should look physically powerful. She-HULK does NOT have to be a huge muscle monster. She is more like Banner HULK. But being genuinely HULK-like, with the bigger than humanly possible muscles, while still physically attractive (Search She-HULK on DeviantArt. Mind the mature materials), and not just a seven foot green skinned bikini or fitness model just makes more sense for the character. I know what it sounds like , but without the superhumanly big muscles She-HULK might well be just "Green Woman". And no, Supergirl , Powergirl, Captain Marvel, and other female with super strength have energy fields and so on, besides actual muscle strength to explain them. HULKs are purely physically powerful, raw muscle power.
"Oh there was this time YEARS ago when she did have actually HULK-like muscles. That one time... years ago. One time. Years ago..." You can make the same issue about the Jupiter Suit, or that one artist, once every other cosmic event, among others, that dared to make She-HULK a genuine HULK. But those are separate "special" cases and NOT her default state as She-HULK. Something that would say in silhouette "That is the She-HULK and not one of dozens of bikini bod, fitness model characters already out there", and being taller is not good enough."
I did not know about Orca (DC). Personally not a DC fan, and From what I have read Orca is a one and done, character, seeming more like an Aquaman rogue than a Batman rogue. But Rampage (DC) was low hanging fruit. Rampage is on of the few obviously female character in mainstream comics would is overtly muscular. But she does suffer from which every artist is drawing her as to whether she is only really fit to how muscular she actually is. Most time, however and fortunately, Rampage is shown to be superhumanly built. Sif (MARVEL) is one of those fitness model characters. She is not superhumanly muscular, like Rampage or Orca.
DocWolph The whole body thing you're talking about also works for some male heroes as well. Look at Batman. Yes he's ripped as hell but he doesn't have the type of body look that you'd need to lift the weights he lifts. Body builders usually have a "fat" appearance that is actually just a lot of muscle but that mass is needed to do what they do. Batman's body is shredded, perfect abs, perfect arms and legs. And if he is capable of lifting such weights, he shouldn't be able to be as agile as he is. Basically the point is, comic characters have bodies that look good because they're superheroes and they're supposed to be idols to the weak even if real world logic doesn't exactly apply to them.
there was a dvd animated double feature called HULK VS. 2 parts, hulk VS wolverine, and hulk vs thor. but that was based on the 616 characters and for the most part an original story.
slifer875 and it sounds a lot like the 616 origin of wolverine meeting hulk where he was asked by the canadian government to hunt down hulk. That adaptation is a lot closer to the animated feature but neither contain weapon x project or deadpool which were in the animation. Look man im just trying to answer your question. Dont get smart with me. either accept the answer or google it your damn self
You should cover more ultimate universe stuff! Ultimate Spidey was my favorite when I was younger and I'd love to see how the writers adjusted the other characters.
I absolutely love ya content been on ya channel about a month now keep it up i love how you feel in some blanks for me in the stories its hard to keep up especially when stories entwine with each other your content fulfills my nerdness. And eventually do dc to if you can simply cause someone else might try and steal ya thunder and do a dc version of ya channel and one other thing you deserve atleast 2 million subs and millions of views on each channel.
Logan: "Had my soul ripped outta me a long time ago" Hulk: "I thought you can grow anything back?" Logan: "....&%#$ you Banner." LMAO funniest thing about the whole comic Great job man.
If his skeleton is indestructible how was he ripped in half? And how does he put himself back together if the adamantium on his skeleton cannot change Shape? I'm confused.
Victor Vazquez well a bunch of characters in ultimate comics are weakened to be more realistic. Hulk not getting stronger instead just adapting, Logan taking hours to heal from gun shot and stab wounds instead of seconds etc
Andrew Hamamji There's joints made of cartilage and such inbetween your spinal vertebrate. That part isn't coated in adamantium, as it would restrict his movement. Now, because it is not covered, tues vertebrate can snap or be cut.
