Thats because during the 90s, hulk was professor Hulk. Similar to how he is in the mcu, he is a more intelligent vertion of the hulk, Capcom based the characters on what the more popular vertion was at the time.
@@rsotuyo15for the longest time I thought Capcom had trouble doing Savage Hulk's voice so they decided to give him a normal voice, that's interesting to know.
@Kevin Cable well in comics, he's able to jump into space lol. The meteor is a stretch. Maybe a satellite would be better, but I guess Capcom didn't want to draw one, lol.
The fact most Marvel chars didn't get to learn new things after MvC1 makes it look underwhelming. Their evolution through the 90s was fascinating but then it becames repetitive. The later devs refused to make any creative input and just took everything made by the old ones... those ones the true elite fg devs, the best ones Capcom ever had together with the Darkstalkers devs.
Iceman and Colossus were direct recycles from COTA to 2, Iron Man and Juggernaut didn't receive a single new move since their appearances in MSH, and Rogue was even nerfed because she lost all her power drain abilities. Don't act like the 90s games were perfect when they have taken the same questionable decisions.
We have to remember the marvel license was expiring for Capcom in the late 90s which is why Capcom just pasted damn near everybody from the past VS games except norimaru lol in mvc2. I doubt Capcom could renew since Marvel at that time was facing bankruptcy
His design was based on the "Professor" persona. Or "Merged Hulk". It was the current version of the character at the time and he was kind of a mix between Hulk and Banner, so he had a very human face. It was pretty funny
@@DerobMalaguetafor longest time, like since I was a kid. I thought Hulk spoke well because capcom couldn't use his iconic savage hulk voice. It's cool that the reason why he spoke well in the capcom games was because of the comics during the time.
The 2d sprite marvel vs capcom looks and feel more fun. Kinda miss sprites in my fighting games but i know it's more time consuming to animate compared to 3d.
He spots a meteorite flying around in outer space. Proceeds to jump towards it with insanely accurate precision. Then somehow manages to change directions in space without anything to jump from. Proceeds to hit opponent with said meteorite (The opponent who is standing on a planet spinning in orbit around the Sun). Just to hit opponent with less impact than a overhead smash
Hulk victory pose in MSH & MSH v SF kinda remind me of his victory pose when he defeated Abomination in The Incredible Hulk movie (Starring Ed Norton ).
90s Hulk: THROW STONE ME ANGRY. 10s Hulk: this one has bacon, grilled cheddar and caramelized onions served on a vintage star wars plate, that would be 70 dollars
Mmm se veía genial al principio cuando era dibujado como en los cómics .. y después que digitalizaron a los personajes .. se ven raros ,porque nunca habían Sido así ..para mí quitarles su escencia fue un error
Is Capcom allergic to changing Super Moves or something? Because honestly, this was very disappointing. You could do a lot of cool stuff with Hulk but they just didn't.
What is it... WHAT IS IT that makes Marvel infinite look so soulless? Is it the lighting? The models? The color? The animation? WHAT? why is it so bland looking?
