If I remember correctly, this is Nolan North's first time playing Deadpool. Crazy to think that now since he's become the definitive voice for him in video games and animation
@@giosbizarreart9048 they cant be that good, good voice actors you don't recognise but any time either of them appear in something I immediately go "oh that's troy baker"
@@ScreamingSutch They are good voice actors, the fact that you recognize them doesn’t mean they’re not. Almost all voice actors are recognizable within a few lines that they deliver. You gotta understand that these people act with just their voice and nothing else, so it’s not like they’d be recognized in any other way. There’s only so many ways you can alter your voice for a project and most of the time they’re cast specifically for how they sound. Steve Bloom, Clancy Brown, Mark Hamil, Crispin Freeman, Nolan and Troy have been in so many projects over the years, it’s impossible not to recognize any one of them. I get what you’re saying but again, just because you can pin down the voice quickly dosent mean they’re not good at their job, it just means they’re iconic.
I miss this type of Hulk: the tragedy of Bruce Banner, a man who was cursed to live with the spirit of a monster inside of him. I think there was a lot of potential wasted when Hulk got smart in the MCU. And yes, here we see Deadpool for the first time, I can't wait to see his movie along with Wolverine this year!
Part of the problem is they glossed over most of Bruce’s tragedies, like his abusive father being the reason he has multiple personalities, can’t be with the one he loves because her dad is always hunting him. Then the films ignored her, his arc to regain control didn’t work because it isn’t earned on screen.
fun fact this movie is actually part of a connected universe. its part of the yost-verse which is comprised of: Hulk vs wolverine Hulk vs Thor Thor tales of Asgard Wolverine and the X men Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes
I loved both Hulk vs films. Hulk vs Wolverine and Hulk vs Thor. There's actually a sequel of sorts to this film in an episode of the "Wolverine and the X-Men" Animated series that references the events of this movie.
Furtherstille, technically speaking, both Hulk vs. Wolverine and Wolverine and the X-Men were both supposed to be canon to the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon. It's a whole thing, look it up.
They kind of continued this story in Wolverine and the X-Men with them having a second rematch with i believe the same voice actors for Hulk and Bruce Banner.
thank you, I wasn't sure if it was that series or X-Men Evolution; the ending to that one is fun since Wolverine gets Bruce angry at the end so he doesn't get caught from what I remember
@@jeffrym9625 fun fact: in that series Jennifer Hale voices Jean Grey and she is going to voice Jean Grey for X-Men 97. Also Catherine Fisher who voiced Jean Grey in the original series will voice a different character as an antagonist.
Party foul: we didn't see what you thought of Hulks nickname for Deadpool. "Talking Man hurt Hulk, Hulk rip OFF TALKING MAN'S HEAAAAD" "MY head? Oh crap"
When I was a kid I watched this movie with my dad and we both loved it. My second introduction to Deadpool after Marvel ultimate alliance. To see how far he’s come in pop culture is so beautiful. Absolutely the best marvel animated movie ever.
I actually really like Sabretooth. The fact that there is a guy who hates Logan so much that he just tries to ruin his life over and over again, to the point that he will join anyone that wants to destroy the x-men. His origin is awesome with his dad. One of my favorite panels is when he follows Wolverine to a bar on his birthday and Wolverine actually asks him “ why are you doing this, will you cut off the masochist”.
This is SOOO good. The art, the animation, the story, the voice acting, the violence!!! This, and the X-Men anime, where they show Wolverine go into a rage, are my two favorite animated Wolverine things. Oh, Omega Red's tentacles are made of carbonadium... the soviets attempt at making adamantium. ;) Steve Blum's Wolverine is my favorite.. that takes nothing from Dodd at all. Loved his voice too. Just Blum's is what I think of when I read comics now.
Pretty sure this takes place within the Yostverse a series of shows like Wolverine and the X-Men and the amazing Avengers: Earths Mightiest Hero's along with a few movies. The Spectacular Spider-Man was also planned to be connected to this universe but at the last minute Josh Keaton the voice of Spectacular Spider-Man was dubbed over by Drake Bell as Disney wanted to promote there up in coming Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon with Bell voicing Spider-Man. But from the eyes of the creators and fans The Spectacular Spider-Man can be seen as canonical. There's no Fantastic Four show but the team does show up in Avengers and the overall designs and voice actors are shared between the shows.
We need this hardcore action for MCU 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I definitely need this Hulk in the MCU. The first Wolverine appearance comic with Hulk was so sick!! I saw this when I was a kid and damn I had zero clue how iconic it was 😱
To be fair, I originally also thought Wolverine was based on a wolf, since there are no animals called 'wolverine' in Germany, where I live. Also, their German name is 'Vielfraß' and I wasn't that great at English back then. Took me a while to realize that error.
This is one of the most animated Marvel movies I've ever seen. Since for me it was what I felt when I saw how the first comics were present in the now increasingly powerful films. And hulk and wolverine i has been watching all the time cuz i remember and the first pages in comics genuinely!
The “Hulk Vs” Double Features were a great release back on the day. Thanks for the remind! Gonna dig out my copy and give ‘em a watch for old time sake. Loved them back in the day.
I love these late 2000's / early 2010's Marvel animated movies. I especially like watching them today because sometimes I treat them like What If? episodes and I envision the Watcher narrating the movie, idk why but it's a little funny thing I do
There is actually a post credit scene and it’s Deadpool after the explosion and he yells “I’m alive? IM ALIIIIIIIVE!” And then gets stomped on and gets annihilated by The Hulk 😂😂😂😂 Nolan North is such a great voice actor and him voicing Deadpool is genius and hilarious
Hugh Jackman's Wolverine has always been able to sense his surroundings using smell. That was literally a main plot point in the first X-Men film, it's how he knows to stab the disguised Mystique.
Yeah, apparently a lot of people were introduced to Deadpool through this movie or if they're a gamer, through X-Men Legends 2 or Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
This movie was kind of continued in 2009 animated series Wolverine and X-men. There was an episode where Logan is recruited by Nick Fury to stop Hulk and the Wendigo
I’d love to see reactions to all the Lionsgate Marvel animated features (Ultimate Avengers 1 & 2, Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, Planet Hulk, Invincible Iron Man, Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme, and Thor: Tales of Asgard). And bring back the DC animated reactions please!
This flick is what got me into comics! I also love how well Deadpool fits with the tone of this film. It’s some of my favorite Deadpool stuff whenever he’s in more serious stories, cause his lackadaisical jokes stand out in such a great way, and he comes off more unhinged
These older lionsgate marvel animations were my childhood!! U guys should definitely peep Hulk vs Thor, the ultimate avengers 1 & 2, the next avengers, thor, and DOCTOR STRANGE
Thor vs Hulk featured an even better Hulk. It was basically Hulk vs Asgard and he flattened the entire kingdom! I remember being blown away by this version of Hulk. A must see!
i remember watching this on Netflix, it was a beautiful day, just skipped school and went out shopping with mother, after i came back, looked for something to watch and found this. truly a masterpiece.
Loved this as a kid, i was super into Wolverine and my aunt got me the dvd of this and this was my introduction to Deadpool and i instantly loved the character, and i hope we get some of this in Deadpool and Wolverine not like a scene like this but definitely the style and aestethic
Such an underrated movie, I wish more people knew about it!! I loved this movie when it came out and I have rewatched it numerous times over the years.
Just realized all four original CoD zombies voice actors were in this. Steve Blum as Wolverine and Dempsey, Nolan North as Deadpool and Richtofen, Fred Tatasciore as Hulk and Nikolai, and Tom Zane as the Professor and Takeo. Weird.
I wish Marvel would go back to doing cool animated stuff like they used to in the 2000’s. They went very kiddy for their stuff and now, we might start getting that grit again. Marvel should be making animated films too based off their comics like DC does. Granted I haven’t been a fan of DCs latest animated films in the past couple of years, but still wish Marvel took a not from them. That way, you get to keep marvel fans happy that aren’t just watching for the MCU, there’s so much potential right there and they should take it!
I personally like that Deadpool is more subtle with his 4th wall breaks here. After a while having unfettered access to the meta gets a bit old in the comics, and partially in the films as well.
Interesting fact, but when this released straight to dvd/blu-ray, it was released alongside Hulk v.s. Thor and was marketed as a double feature. I hope you cover that one eventually as well.
14:11 Nolan North plays Deadpool He's played Deadpool in a lot of Marvel projects such as marvel versus Capcom 3 marvel midnight Suns game contest of champion trailer and many many more except for the ultimate Spider-Man cartoon somebody else did that
This is actually part of a two-disc set: Hulk vs Wolverine and Hulk vs Thor. Definitely worth grabbing a physical copy if you can still find them out there.
Live action omega red was in Deadpool 2 as one of the prisoners at the prison wade and Russell were taken too. One of the prisoners have an omega symbol on their forehead.
I swear, if we don't get a Hulk vs Wolverine fight in Deadpool 3 it's gonna be one of the biggest wasted opportunities in comic book movie history! By the way I would love for it to be the Ed Norton Hulk too.
I really feel like people is hungry for a hulk origin story. I think people don't specifically hate smart hulk because he's smart. But how much it down plays the horror that he had to endure. All the character development the Hulk was supposed to have never'd got to to be shown. They either use the time to develop other characters like thor and the avengers or Give half ass reasoning to his problems or the way he solves it. If people's honest with themselves, there's never been a good hulk in the mcu because he's always had some kind of control. Which has prevented us from seeing anything deep with them Or even seeing how other people react to him.
Coy said "why haven't we seen Omega Red in Live action"? But we did, he was the villian in Iron Man 2 but because Marvel couldn't use Mutants that's was the character that they decided to show but nobody remembers.. (Hulk isn't Immortal either)💡😅
That wasn't Omega red. That was Whiplash, a long established member of Ironman's rogues gallery. They would never have used Omega red in a Ironman movie.
Great video, nice to see you getting into some of the Marvel animated films. There are a few good ones. When I saw this film, it was released along side Hulk Vs. Thor, which I'd recommend as your next Marvel animated film. Looking forward to your next video.
Thanks for finally watching and reacting to this movie. Its my favorite animated Marvel movie and its so specially because I met Deadpool there for the first time.
THANKS!!!! So many of Marvel's animated movies suck (I miss your Sunday morning DC animated movie reactions!) so I'm so glad you are dealing with a really good one!!! So "Hulk vs. Thor" is the one that's hard to find? Hmmm...I think it was my favorite!
I finally found most of the old marvel cartoon features on bluray at a dvd video game resale store around 2016. I watched them on repeat back before the live action movies started. I think the Doctor Strange one was my favorite.
