Plank-owner, retired Senior Instructor of all HT"C" Schools. It's great to see this on RU-vid. I'm sure a lot has changed. Maybe cover NDT one of these days?

I graduated 2016, I don't think 10 days is nearly enough time to learn all of this stuff. I had a great instructor though.

I want to join the Navy and weld. I’m split between HT and CB. How much of HT is dealing with shit because that’s kind of the deciding factor?

@@redphone25 an HT on a ship will eventually have to deal with fucked up shitters...as a CB ya probably will as well but ya get to ay with heavy equipment, but...you may be stuck at the same duty station for 4 years...

@@redphone25 If you become a coded welder, you won't be doing any of the routine maintenance and repair. 4955/4956 get assigned to repair departments, not ship's force. I hope you went HT, it's the most versatile rate you can choose.
