some very interesting lesser known facts about 1961 classic hum dono .
publicity chief of navketan amar jeet wanted to be a film director .
vijay anand promised him to help in this .
when vijay anand finalised the script of hum dono he told dev anand that amar jeet will direct this film but dev anand was not ready initially.
finally dev anand agareed and shooting of hum dono started but amar jeet used to get confused on the sets .
most of the time vijay anand helped him to arrange the shots but after some days of shooting anand brothers realised that things are not going right .
ultimately vijay anand started directing this film .
vijay anand made a masterpiece but in the credits of the film the name of director is amar jeet .
vijay anand kept his promise and tried to help amar jeet grow as director but amar jeet started saying bad things about vijay anand .

हम दोनों फिल्म की अनसुनी बातें बहुत ही बढ़िया प्रस्तुति है। देव साहब और गोल्डी साहब अच्छे कलाकार तो थे ही एक अच्छे इंसान भी थे, ऐसा मेल बहुत कम देखने को मिलता है। हम दोनों देव साहब की बेहतरीन फिल्म है और उन्होंने बड़ी ही सहजता से अभिनय किया है। इसी सहजता के कारण देव साहब अभिनय के देव हैं।

Hum Dono is one of the best movies of Dev Anand.'Kuchh Ansuyi Baaten' about Hum Dono is very interestingly told by Rakeshji Sadeo.l have read the Marathi book Ek Hota Goldi by Anita Padhye.The story is correctly narrated in the video. Hum Dono deserved Best Actor Award to Dev Anand Dev Anand and Goldi was a winning combination in many Hindi films. A great video by Rakeshji. Best wishes. 👌

There is no doubt that Vijay Goldie Anand directed Hum Dono. Just check his later movie The Guide and realize the genius brain behind both movies. Vijay Anand was undoubtedly the top 5 movie Indian directors of 1900s.

हम दोनो फील्म देखने बचपनमे हम लोग चार बंगला की तरफ रास्तेपर पर्देपर देखने गये थे । लीला चीटनीस जी देव आनंद जी की माँ बनी थी हम दोनो मे । उस दौरमे हम फील्मे देखने रातको चटाई लेकर जाते थे । कभी कभी वहा जाकर हम सो जाते थे । बादमे बडी बहेन हमे उठाती थी । अब तो घरपर ही सारी सूवीधा हो गई है । रास्तेपर फील्मे दीखाने का भी बंद हो गया । 1990 तक ये दौर चला था । बादमे व्ही सी आर का दौर आया था । व्ही सी आर पे भी लोगोने काफी पैसे कमाये । मगर रास्तोपर फील्मे देखने का मजा ही कूछ और था । आपने वीडीयो काफी अच्छी बनाई । आपका शूक्रीया राकेश सर

Nice information about an iconic film of Dev Saheb. I think you are a fan of Dev Saheb. I watched your episodes on Guide and Johnny Mera Naam as well. They were also nice and full of information. Generally people regard Dilip Kumar to be the greatest actor and greatest star of Bollywood Indian cinema. As far as stardom is concerned , Dilip Kumar is miles behind Dev Saheb, Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan. So far acting is concerned , he was no where near to Sanjeev Kumar who gave iconic performances in movies such as Khilona, Aandhi, Dastak, koshish, Mausam, Naya din nayee raat, Angoor, Arjun pandit,Trishul, Sholay etc. As per my opinion, in Vidhata Sanjeev Kumar acted better than Dilip Kumar. I think critics of Dev Saheb's acting should see him in Guide and Tere mere sapne.

Actually, the Bengali film featuring Uttam Kunar Uttaryan (based on the novel of the of the same name by Tarashankar Bandopadhyay) was released in 1963, that is two years after Hum Dono. It would be fair to say that Hum Dono:s story was based on Tarashankar's novel

Aapki prastuti hamesha ki tarah bahut badhiya thi lekin maine jab ye film dekhi to mujhe laga poori film male-centric perspective se hai. Sadhna ke role me jo ladki hai us par bahaut taras aaya. Bechari me apni saari zindagi aur aesho-aaram jiske liye qurban kar diya usne itne waqt baad wapis aakar bhi uska ehsaan nahi mana ki gurbat ki haalat me uski maa ke saath rahi, unki marne tak sewa ki aur uska intzaar kiya. Uupar se use bina kuchh batae ghar se nikal kar chala gaya jaise ki us ladki ka koi wajood hi na ho. I found it an extremely patriarchal and pathetic story !
