I used to listen this song from childhood, But now I am able to feel the pain behind this, Never listened to my parents, did what I wanted to do and failed every time again and again, now it feels there is no way out from this pain of failure. 1:40-1:53 no actor can even come close to the intensity with which Amrish sir delivered this scene. The total feeling of helplessness and sorrow is reflected . Hats off to such a legend and Jackie Shroff. This movie was underrated and not given due credit

Mee too. I lost my father this year only. When he breathed last, I was not there with him. Before loosing him, I never thought life will be so hollow and lonely without him. Despite being away from home due to job requirements, his presence only was a guiding force and like a deep shade over the clouds of sorrow and hardship. Now every material things like money good job prosperity is there, however still feel very hollow and lonely without my father. Difficult to belief that now onwards lif will be so only.

This song has RD written all over it as even an untrained ear can easily identify this song as a hard core Pancham product. Great singing by SPB and very hard hitting lyrics by Javed Akhtar. This is director Priyadarshan's earlier movies which is a remake of his Malyalam film Kireedam. The film also marks a turning point in Amrish Puri's career, where he switched over from villianious roles to emotional character roles.

My father looked like and even had the temperament of amrish puri’s character in this movie. We had a very bad relation all life. Now that he’s gone, I realize that a father can never be replaced! When my father was alive I had no tension no burden on my shoulders only doing my job earned salary and give it to my father he was handling all the tensions after my marriage he gives me rs 3,00,000 of my earnings and 2,00,000 from him for purchasing new home . I don't know how he was manages but today I can't lot of tensions and burdens in life .missing you Baba from last 9 years And Aai last one year .

I loved this movie back then. And I must have been 12-13 at the time. The plot stayed in my mind very vividly. Then I had a son, he is 8 now. The plot of Gardish seems much more relatable now. Every father has certain expectations from his children. But who knows what really lies in the future.

My dad passed away this year on Valentine's Day, 14th February 2022. Just came here to watch this song straight after seeing someone's performance on this song in Kapil Sharma Show of Jaggu Dada.
