For all my life, I've worked myself to exhaustion for every job/project whipping myself to work harder than anyone else for success and always ended up feeling "bitter" for generating so much for the greater team, but very little for myself. Now, I understand why I hit wall relatively early and why I burn out when I try to be a generator. I've always felt insecure about my traits as a projector. Knowing this is absolutely liberating because I don't have to be hard on myself anymore. Instead, I can celebrate my ability to see through with a razor-sharp accuracy and perceptiveness that is rarely seen around me and feel less guilty about having to retreat early and rest more. Thank you so much for your work. I am really really excited to go over all your videos!

As a Projector, I can testify to the distinctions of my Type. My entire adult life, men have misconstrued my "seeing" them as romantic interest. Seeing them coupled with genuine engaging; engaging a conversation because I enjoy human interaction and find it to be so important, being present, I listen attentively, I notice and respect body language cues, I'm considerate and naturally warm. As a result I've had uncomfortable experiences with some men becoming overly attracted to me, bordering on obsession. I'm beginning to become a lot more mindful of how I share my energy and for how long. I gauge throughout conversations where I'm letting my energy meander or stretch. I want to be more responsible with how I affect others. It's been a very profound journey of revelation after revelation. Thank you, your tips and explanations are helping me to go deeper with my experiment. I look forward to viewing other videos and your website. You have a really lovely teaching style. 🌺

This makes so much sense. I've heard the same thing from many projector women especially. They learn to be more clear with their signals because often the default assumption is that you are attracted to the other person that you are interacting with. It sounds like you already figured out how to manage this, and the video is just a confirmation of the mechanics of why that was happening. xoxoxo

I totally relate as well with men, so many times they thought i Liked them romantically and in the end they would tell me that because I smiled and felt genuine to them and that is why they felt that way. there was also a time when I got stalked so not good at all that it was scary for me and my family. I am so glad he is gone now.

I work as a therapist I don’t work more than 3/4 hours a day and I am ok with that now - I thought I was lazy at first and felt guilty for not producing more but now I am fine with enjoying my flow 💖

3/5 projector here. I am finishing my internship to become a therapist and I realized I can only see up to 4 clients a day and that is all. It seems like the perfect career for me because I can make enough to live without burning myself out and I get to guide and lead only those that recognize my gifting. HD has been a Godsend. I have burned myself out so many times. No bitterness now. Blessings to you all!

I totally agree with this. I learned so much about myself after being a people pleaser with family, friends and co workers. It exhausted me and after everything I was like never again. I learned to always put myself first after.

This is something I noticed whenever I would go within. I would always reflect back about things that just happened maybe that day or in the past and ask myself questions like how did that happen? why did that happen? what's the purpose of it? how can that improve me so that next time it happens it will be better handled? what did I learn from it? and so on. And yes, the next time same thing happens, I feel so powerful somehow because it has gotten easier to navigate through the same situation. I love it when people leave comments like this for the passerby in the future so they can read and maybe relate as well. So this is my piece. Peace and Love. :)

This has been so informative and helpful. I am a 4/6 EPP and could relate to much of what you described; I have definitely spent an hour sitting in my truck watching the stars move; I have had the thought that I have chosen poorly in past failed relationships; I LOVE tutoring; I feel like I need to hold myself from saying what I see because people get defensive/angry. I hadn't heard the phrase "wait for the invitation", but it feels right and I have been learning that all along. Thank you again!

22:00 "Believes they are ill when they have no energy." I think you may have saved my life. I wondered If I was DYING. It has been the most frightening thing to be depleted of energy in spurts since my 20's wondering what was wrong with me. When I have energy I'm on fire and feel normal. Also, you are the first video I have seen talking about Human Design that doesn't sound like a cult member. Also, my birth chart information does not say I'm a projector. But after listening to this information, I have never been more clear about who I am as a Life Coach, Healer and Image & Brand Stylist! (Always directing and guiding generators!) Thank you for this video. It has informed me in a big way. Gonna blow stuff up now ;). I'm a 2/4 Mental Projector from Norway and this came along at a perfect time for me. I'm going to spend some time leaning into my aura and type. Had a very strong experience with recognition as you talk about it. I just embraced myself and my type and aura for a few hours, and I was treated with respect wherever I went. I went shopping in VERY casual clothing, no makeup, nothing. That was a bit of an eye opener for me. And I realise that I have been respected A LOT in my life. Taking my holiday now ;)

Hi Karen. I'm curious about something related to my being a Projector. I have a lot of strong ideas for how to improve the well being of my community. I live in a country where there are deep levels of poverty and therefore the mentality of how poverty expresses itself is quite evident in the lack of important resources that would provide resolve for the needs that oppression and poverty breed. The asthetic, environmental structuring of our neighborhoods are dank, alcoholism is prevalent, buildings and businesses cater more to capitalism and the disjointed communities than to thriving wellness. I have solid plans for how I'd like to affect change. Is seeing a need equivalent to acknowledging an invitation? No one has directly invited me to implement new ideas for how to evolve our community but there's such an obvious need for it and I wonder if that's invitation enough?

Hi Myrna, Oh geez. What a question. Given what you want to do, I can't imagine saying not to go for it. But as a projector, you need others and their resources in order to really make things fly in most cases... It reminds me a little of an amazing projector who lives in the small community of Troncones, MX where I used to live. He single-handedly started a community-wide recycling program, environmental education program, composting program and now, he has a fully-funded position that is paid for by all the gringos that live there... The changes that he has made in our town are incredible. He did the same in his industrial city of Lazaro Cardenas also. Perhaps a good way to start would be just to start sharing your ideas here and there with relevant people who might be able to help you resource-wise, and see where it sticks...just be light (throw one dart). And see where that gets you. I've known many projectors who don't wait for an invitation and are quite successful...but they can end up really burning out.. So that is a significant consequence. Good luck!!!

I share your thoughts on waititng to be invited, I clearly see what needs to be done, and I send word out in my work and relationships, but unfortunately, the invitations are: thin - no one has invited me... I dont get recognised, I dont just get ignored, I get repelled and rejected a lot such that I am contracting more and more.

Late to the game here… burned out in the tech industry with terminal cancer by 36yrs with a small child to raise. I knew I had done it to myself but it was several years ago and HD wasn’t mainstream… how could I fight back or declare “I’m not meant for hard work.” But as a 1/3 Projector, chronic illness was probably the only way to make me sit still in this ridiculous western society. Question… why were Projectors created?

Hi Karen, I recently discovered human design and as much as it fits my profile perfectly (I am a projector), it doesn’t really match my mum’s energetic profile. Her chart implies that she is a projector too, but she has the most consistent energy amongst people I know. She rarely gets tired, and when she does, she simply takes a nap and that’s it. She can work hours on end without loss of enthusiasm. Have you even seen such case? To add to this point, we also don’t live with any generator to unconsciously use their energy as a „fuel”. It really confuses me and make me question how accurate it actually is. Plus, she is not as perceptive and observant as me which really doesn’t fit such profile🧐 Best wishes,

Hi there! I have known some very very active projectors. That can be influenced by several factors in the chart: 1) whether they have an 'active' body which is shown by left arrows...and a deeper level of detail in the chart 2) having a defined root center or one of the other motors...but especially the root 3) could also be somewhat conditioning. Interesting that she isn't as perceptive. That does make me question too! I encourage you just to keep observing people's designs and watching the experiment to verify if it's accurate. That's what I do and when I see inconsistencies the more I learn about HD the more I see how it makes sense.

@@karenmcmullen Thank you for some pointers. I will look into all of them and explore this topic further. For now I can tell that the root cannot account for it as she is suppose to be a mental projector (only the two top centers are fixed). Nonetheless, I will cautiously explore this topic and see what I can gather and understand. Have a lovely day.

So my ideal work life is working less and living more. I crave a job were I am my own boss working from home and where I love what I do so much that it never feels like a day of work. So I'm actually learning reiki right now and plan to learn sound healing. I've felt like I've been giving way to much to my employer lately. I literally had to take time off because of the overwhelming feeling of not being valued or seen.

Karen you asked "why does a projector turn in on themselves". For me, being a male projector who has turned in on himself relentlessly I have distilled it down to one thing. We recognize we don't "fit" the world program pattern. As projectors, be it male or female we are repeatably told we are different . We attract things we don't understand. Imagine a person who is rather "withdrawn" as we are often labeled, yet you receive offers for romantic relationships you didn't even elicit. You start to ask "why" did that happen, what did I do? We start looking at ourselves asking "what" is it about us that makes us different? As a "ignorant" projector, that being unknowing, it becomes an obsession to figure it out. Imagine, if you don't understand simply human energy dynamics and there transfers, let alone energy centers, gates, paths, etc. You come to see yourself as an outsider, or more better, outside the world program pattern. For a person who sees patterns and "has" to understand the pattern in its fullest capacity, this becomes the insatiable itch we have to scratch. For me, I dove into everything. I am certified in several different disciples eg MTBI a behavioral consoler ETC. Learning the real meaning of the introvert helped as far as energy relationships but it dost answer the question of the penetration/amplification aspect. Meaning we keep digging. Never coming to the understanding we are absorbing the energy around around us, as pointed out we are not even aware that's not our energy. The result being we are wearing masks that we didn't even know we put on. Yet, we keep digging. I am 58 and, I found Human Design at 58. Let yourself imagine the paradigm shift in my life once I understood I am 2/4 projector. I understand why people seem to cling as well are are repulsed by me. Why people have labeled me egocentric, self centered, on and on. Just understanding your authority is profound. The digging into myself has inexplicable stopped. Now the self examination is how "I" fit into the pattern as part of the pattern and not an exception to the pattern. Why totally random people will walk up to me to tell me how "intense" I am . OH MY GOSH, for a projector it is so liberating to understand this. The peace that settles within surpasses all understanding up that point. The phrase "to become comfortable in your skin" does no justice to expressing how it feels. I also understand how when the human design information hits you for the first time, your like "wait, what?" Me being so deep into all the other disciples I am in it was much easier to intake and digest. For most this will hit them and be more difficult to intake and comprehend. As a projector they have no alternative but to be introspective, at least initially. We "have" to understand how "we" fit into the pattern and what the overall pattern is. Its who we are. However once one understands the Human Design information we will mellow, understanding what we need to understand will come to us as we are ready. Keep up the great work.
