Please enjoy the sounds of your Human Jukebox and the Pride of Mississippi as we play our rendition of America the Beautiful. Arranged by: Nathan B. Haymer, Director of Bands, Southern University. Directed by: Nathan B. Haymer, Director of Bands, Southern University and Dr. Colin McKenzie, Associate Director of the Pride of Mississippi.

Oh I believe it, though, having heard Southern Miss' band in person, you'd actually be pleasantly surprised at how much volume they put out. Their sousa section in particular is phenomenal for a smaller school in the SunBelt

Quinton Knight I couldn't agree more. This trumps all the hate and division that is going on right now. This needs to be done all the time. No matter what race we are or the marching styles a band is popular for. I for one am a fan of the HBCU's my high school band in Oklahoma mirrored itself off of bands like JSU and we never changed (1990 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School). But the one thing that makes us all unique is that we are Americans and we need to stick together.

Coming back to this I like that both band directors chose to keep their own styles of conducting instead of trying to match. Gives the visual message of unity that’s just as powerful as the sound. We act and look different but we bare the same flesh and soul.

It doesn't matter whether you are White, Black, Hispanic, or Asian at the end of the day we have to love one another for who we are regardless of race, religion, customs, or sex. America has allowed us to have freedom and we can't take our rights and values for granted and when I see stuff like this it makes me tear up because this is what the United States of America should be like in today's society onto the future and I have love for everyone.💯💯💯💯

I was there on yesterday and with all of the tragic things going on in our nation and world, this was amazing and so heartfelt. As a Southern Miss alumni, I was proud that both schools can show unity and be an example for the whole world to see because hate is a trait that is taught and love thru communication and understanding is something that rarely exists today

Southern Miss fan here- I would love to have Southern U. and the Human Jukebox come to Hattiesburg to open the season for the next few years just for this joint performance (and perhaps a bit of a joint halftime performance).

Another great statement made by the 'Human Jukebox', in recent years we've brought life to the Univ of Georgia, Tulane Univ, La Tech, UL Monroe, Queen City BOTB, Honda BOTB and now to the Southern Mississippi Univ- fans everywhere are constantly applauding and wanting to see the 'Best of the Best of Bands - standing ovations.......

It truly was wonderful to see two different styles of bands and directors coming together to direct and play a song such as "America The Beautiful" in unity in times like these in the United States.

My fave song performed by the Juke. I first saw it in a BOTB in 2014 or 2015. A sweeter & symphonic rendition of this same song w/a little Dolls Dance as well.
