Who else is IMMEDIATELY transported back to the 80's when they hear this song? IT. IS. PERFECTION. One of the few songs I can play on a loop. STILL. 🙋🏽♂️👌🏽❤
Takes me back 37 years to the summer of 1986 when this was released. Fast forward to 2023 and it’s one of those songs that will forever be in my heart and soul…Thank you Phil,Catherine and Joanne, god bless you all ❤️
Yes...the Human League said so many things through their music you could relate to during the happy and sad of the Awesome 80's era... that todays generation could never understand... faithful 80's Alternative Music follower then and still today...🎶😎🤙
No one else would understand from this convoluted generation, I too am a residue from that glory called the 80's. I was a NYC kid imbibing this magic but never appreciated it until it was gone. These songs possess splendorous rhythm, tenderness, vulnerability and all the descriptors that make it endearing and indelible. The "music" of today is toxic disruptive nonsense, where did the HUMANITY and heart go??? 😢
💔@@zombiefulci3301 💔😢😭 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will." - Romans 12:2
2023...May...and this song popped in my head... listening to it and fighting tears...such good memories..and 1 sad one...may she rest in peace 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
Oh My God! The 80's had the best of the best. So many great bands back then. Now, the music does not even, even, compared to back then. Yes! I said it twice. I would go to Hollywood with friends to the club's after working at a clothing Store in Downtown Los Angeles that had 80's trendy clothes. We also had a Dj play Disco and KROQ music while the customers shopped. How I missed those days. The best days of my life. Now 67 and retired. Now looking for a vacation home in Vegas.
Dear Human League, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, thank you all for such an amazing song. I like and appreciate the original version but I damn it love this extended version.
Ainda tem muita gente boa na arte da música, veteranos ou não coisa boa é eterna e sempre será! Sou brasileiro e me viro pra traduzir vocês, me traduz vocês também 😃

DAYUM!!! The intro is straight 🔥🔥🔥 This song is 32 years old, and it still holds up; no....it EXCEEDS, the computerized millennial crap that's being spewed on Top 40 radio today!! Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis -- The Lakers/Patriots/Yankees -- of music production!! 🐐🐐

Come on, baby, dry your eyes Wipe your tears Never like to see you cry Won't you please forgive me? I wouldn't ever try to hurt you I just needed someone to hold me To fill the void while you were gone To fill this space of emptiness I'm only human Of flesh and blood I'm made Human Born to make mistakes So many nights I longed to hold you So many times I looked and saw your face Nothing could change the way I feel No-one else could ever take your place I'm only human Of flesh and blood I'm made Human Born to make mistakes I am just a man Please forgive me The tears I cry aren't tears of pain They're only to hide my guilt and shame I forgive you now I ask the same of you While we were apart I was human too I'm only human Of flesh and blood I'm made I am just a man Human Human born to make mistakes
Gracias.
@Nicolas B. Henry omg I didn't even realize that until now. But now that I'm thinking about it, they just received an award for their catalog and this band was in the lineup. It definitely has that Minneapolis sound. S.O.S BAND. JANET. ALEXANDER O'NEIL. CHARELLE. KARIYAN WHITE. PRINCE. AND A BUNCH OF OTHERS. THEIR SOUND IS RECOGNIZABLE AND DREAMY.
This song came out when I was in HS. Back in the day I had a 600 horsepower Mustang and a beautiful, intelligent, a little older than me "Friend with Benefits". I had this on one of the CDs I'd burned off my computer. I'd play it in that supercharged Mustang doing 85 when we'd get together at her place for sushi and some enlightening conversations. Some of my fondest memories. This song goes out to her.
Thank you Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for being one of the greatest producing duos of anyone's generation or lifetime! Such an incredible song from one of my favorite bands! Beautiful remix and the intro gives me the feels!❣️
Whenever I hear this song I shed a tear. Because after all, we are human and we do make mistakes. Mistakes in the past are the ones that hurt the most but, we learn and grow from those experiences if we work hard enough. Thank you so much for this much needed song in these times! Stay strong, hold the faith, and long live the 90s music! Just kidding 80s!
Wow ! Words cannot say....only those who knew the 80's hold the memories. It brings a lump to the throat and tears to the eyes.Incredible era..........now gone...so sad.
I grew up in the 80s and to think there gone hurts like hell those were my innocent yrs I entered 9thgrd.in 1987 how truly truly miss them yrs. And yes just thinking about them brings a lump to your throat
Remembering this tune in the 80s. Amazing lyrics 🤣. Human league . We're only human. Sometimes in life doesn't go according to what you what but you try your best anyways 😙.
Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis...who wouldve known? The best damn composers, and dont stop even when you have had enough to boogie on down...producers in the business. No questions asked!
Just imagine how respectfully people reacted on the great music ,no matter where it comes from. This is the example - N 1 in Uk ,also top 1 in Usa and major hit around the globe. Definitely the world used to be better place to be once before
Its hard not to go back and listen to songs from my youth and not feel like the same emotion and soul is just lost in present day music. Or it could be me getting old LOL
I heard this song when I was 9 years old... I still remember it was about 5:00 PM when the drum beat started to sound on the radio... I took a cassette and started to record what I could from that song. I’m 31 years old now and every time I listen to this song I close my eyes and travel back in time to those amazing days
Quem do Brasil ouvindo esta linda canção e que não cometeu erros em sua vida.. todos nós nascemos para cometer erros e acertos .. belíssima canção dos anos 80 !!
