I really like this video; I'm a therapist specializing in trauma in an area that's unfortunately opportune for trafficking, so I've seen my fair share of people who were trafficked. It wasn't specifically pointed out, but I think this video also did a great job of looking at another myth; that's it's only poor, overtly gross, dirty people who're involved in trafficking when really it can be a middle class or higher home with brand name clothes just as easily if not even easier. And the "wants to help pay for college!" is a great touch, because if the survivor agreed to doing it because there was no other choice or they've been manipulated into it, then there's even more shame and self-hate; I've unfortunately worked with people who were trafficked initially because it was the only way for them to get a dime bag or other drugs they needed to avoid going through horrific withdrawals or that they either literally would or thought they would die without.

There is no myth about trafficking for sex and slavery. Slavery still exists in this world. It's huge in muslim nations.

I am sure what you say is true. But, the opposite, though the minority happens as well. Some children are unknown to the trafficker initially, some are controlled by violence. It is ALL true and we need to be aware of Every angle.

I apologize if this is gruesome for some. When I was little, there was a girl in the town I lived in who was being abused by her mother, and her mother would live stream the abuse for money, she would put things inside her daughter, like pencils, tools.. A rolling pin. I assume she streamed it to a pornography site, because someone came across it and reported her. Naturally she was arrested, but the daughter suffers long term, not just mentally but also physically. Because of her abuse, her cervix was damaged and shes unable to have kids. The scene with the mom and camera had me thinking about that girl. You might not think these things are happening, but the truth is... It does, and it very well could be happening in your own neighborhood.

I know of a case, perhaps it is not human trafficking but it is a family that lives with children and beats them every day, I have already called the police three times but they did nothing against that family and this family is still abusing them to these children, Please if you can help me how to contact someone who can do something and stop these people who are attacking the lives of these children please

This campaign isn’t presented correctly. These are not necessarily Myths they are also facts, accept for the one about boys being trafficked. I often wonder how much these organizations actually do to end trafficking. They do a lot of fundraising, where does that money go? Also, they rarely hear them say much about the invasion at the border which is a major artery for trafficking.

Please help me, my 4 year old daughter is in the hands of a Human Trafficking ring that's one of the worst you'll ever see. It's ran be Sons of Silence and they are even guilty of murder.
