@@zackklein46 I currently have 3 days and the first time he felt curious and stopped barking, but then he started barking again and simply ignored the vibration.
That's exactly what my dog does she's an angel while I'm around and as soon as I leave the house she's non-stop barking for hours on end ! I just bought one of these collars and I'm glad to see that this problem will soon be fixed:-)
By sound and vibration. 1st tone sounds after bark. If dog barks within 75 seconds the 2nd tone sounds for longer. If the dog barks again within a similar time period there will be a longer tone followed by a short vibration. If again, then another tone followed by a longer vibration. Our little boy has learnt to bark quietly when it's on so as not to trigger the device which is great because he can still make his point to all the noises he hears and be the great little doggy but the neighbours appreciate it too. No complaints from them so far. In conjunction with this we use the word "quiet" followed by lots of positive reinforcement, praise and the occasional treat. It helps to prevent longer term aggression too as it has a calming effect on him whilst happily continuing with his busy dog world. Hope that helps.
They work great! My mother has a Westland Terrier that would bark NONSTOP at everything. We got her the collar & used it just a couple weeks & she doesn’t bark unnecessarily anymore. Stop Woof also has the ultrasonic trainer that worked better for my own dogs.
Wow!! I have a long haired mini doxie and I’ve been doing my research into bark collars for the past few weeks. Our boy is 9 years old though so I’m really struggling on what to do since we obviously didn’t address/correct the problem when he was younger. I knew the static shock collar was not even an option, so I was leaning towards the citronella spray collars bc I didn’t think just the beep/vibration would actually work... since he’s insane lol. But as soon as I saw how within 5 or so beeps your 🌭 not only stopped barking, he didn’t yelp and most importantly it didn’t take his spunk away, I was so happy! Thank you so much for posting this.
Your welcome, i am so glad we recorded the before and after and it still works now when he has to wear it, in a flat there are busier times everyone coming home from work for example, if he gets a bit noisy we just show him it and he quietens with the word quiet then we tell him good boy when he does, always gets praise when it works whether on or off. This has been perfect for us and safe for him.
It’s fine if you don’t have time to actually train your dog and the other option is lose the dog to nose complaints, etc but this kind of negative connotation can harm them mentally The dogs barking is in result of nerves and anxiousness, and working to help alleviate it would be better than to use an e collar as a punishment I use e collars to reach my dogs at a distance, which strengthens our bond tenfold due to all the things I wouldn’t be able to do with a positive only training, but people who use them after a command makes the dog associate the trick with what can be awkward, or uncomfortable. These bark collars put that negativity into what is natural and instinctual to a dog. If you’re okay with that then go for it
I just bought one and it's saving my life since I live in an apartment xD never bother the neighbors again. My dog gets super scared but I hope it's not hurting him just scaring lol
What type of collar is that? My doxie is comin up on 2 years old and while he doesn’t bark much when we’re home we have gotten some complaints from neighbors that he barks a lot when someone comes into the building, which is pretty often during the day. Your little guy is really cute btw 😍
Same... people don't realize how much of a pain in the ass these devil dogs are. Cute, but SO f*cking exhausting to deal with. I'm living in a condo complex and she's been barking and barking when we leave. Now the neighbors are really pissed and threatened to take action if the barking doesn't stop. I'm buying one of these collars now.
@@aba22125 ikr I've put up with the excessive barking for 6 years now. The barking is neverending at times. i have sacrificed a lot of peace and quiet in my life. i hope this collar will be the solution i crave.
I hope this works on our chihuahua. I’m tired of having guests over and our dog relentlessly barking at them like they’re a threat. Even after they’ve been at our house for hours, our chihuahua will bark and bark and growl, almost like he’s possessed or something, it’s very annoying.
I tried it with my dog today he's 4 months old and he's still so load when he's on the leash but whenever he barks he cry over and over and I feel like it's torture but I can't stop it since my mom wanted it so I feel bad
Put the leash on before the guests arrive. Don’t allow the dog to run up at people and give a little tug with a firm NO when it happens. Leashes are great training tools inside and outside the home but you need to be proactive about training. Hope that helps!
Ay. So far it’s working well for my GSD. We’ve tested me going to leave on my motorbike and he pulled up immediately. Keen to try other scenarios where he gets a bit reactive 👍
What brand and model this would help so much. My corgi mix is so protective over my wife if she is home and any noise at all she will bark nonstop. If my wife is gone not a peep out of her 😂
Now is it, that just works by itself or using the remote because I'm in need of a collar that says that with nobody there cuz he barks when no one is home and if that's the case what is the name of this color LOL
Glad it’s working ! But you should consider investing in steps or a ramp for your couch so your dachshund isn’t jumping off and causing potential damage to their back. My miniature Dachshund has had two back surgeries this year because his back legs went paralyzed twice from activities such as jumping off the couch or bed.
I lost my dachshund because she paralyzed herself after jumping off the couch. Yes, please do get steps or ramp for sure. Great advice for all owners of this breed. Thanks for posting.
@@EliBelcherBeatbyeli I wouldn’t mind my larger dogs on the furniture, but smaller breeds, especially puppies, should not be risking the pressure on their joints for sure
My girlfriend has a small dog that never shuts up which is why I'm looking at this video, I love animals but that dogs relentless barking over the most trivial sounds make me want to chuck it out the window.
So collars are great. I used one for my dog training collar. Do they shock the dog yes but set on low just to let them know when doing something wrong has been a game changer. My boy is afraid of flys got a bite from a large horse fly. Any time he would see or hear one he'd run off no matter where he was at. One day had him off leash in park he heard a fly and ran right into traffic he just wanted to get away so fast it didn't matter where. I got a collar and it help so so good I used it probably two times and after that it only needed to be used with Beeping sound. This thing has saved his life other life my life from being sued and now he's 17 years of age latter with Cancer so don't let any Buddy tell you your a cruel person for using one. People sometimes you just need a extra hand that can reach out and pat him or her on the butt to get them back home safely. I love my dog had him 17 years what's cruel is cancer. Up date my dog passed away he lived his life fully from 9-30 -2006- 1-25-2022 cancer was the one to take him out. I love my boy and will miss him dearly what a loyal boy he was.
Please update. I'm disabled. In a legal dispute with my landlord. Anxiety is high. Dog is barking and whining every time I leave. 6lb. Chihuahua Terrier Mix. Price not an issue. I need the problem addressed asap. What kind is this.

but this only treat the symptoms to the specific barking and not the root problem. In this case, the dog associate barking=collar on him= shock. At the same time, he would also associate no more collar= okay to bark?
Yeah this is a quick solution that can cause a bit of negative mental feedback and doesn’t solve the problem when you take the collar off. If owners don’t have the time to socialize and train their dog it may be their only solution. Also I believe this collar is only vibration The dog would absolutely associate that, but the issue in a lot of these cases is the dogs are anxious when left alone, and feel the need to defend their home Repetition of knocking on doors and nothing bad or obtrusive happen and mental stimulation toys are a great step to solving these problems
Some dogs will not stop barking no matter how you train them, sometimes you just need to force them to stop and this isn't cruel it just vibrates it annoys them but doesn't hurt them.
