The only way to truly defeat all spiders is by using fire. When bigger spiders come, you have a simple solution: bigger sources of fire. Also add some gunpowder for more dramatic effect :)

Personal theory: contingency omega IS the nuke BUT the base itself is actually testing on spiders but one of the spiders became giant and killed everyone in the base then gave birth to every other spider which is why some explode while some raise the dead. they are mutated (like so cap can see please)
