Vlog 4 in the #tourof2017 series.
When I entered Kalimpong I had no idea what I was going to do there.
An unexpected sequence of events led me to meet some wonderful people there and that in turn led to 3 memorable days in the mountains.
The weather was terrible, and I didn't get any of the gorgeous Himalayan views that Kalimpong is famous for. What I did get to do though was to live like a local and make some fast friends. Also, I went paragliding

Thank you to all of you who are watching this video. I know a lot of you have left comments, but I'm currently in Arunachal Pradesh and loading and responding to comments hasn't been possible. Thank you for all the wonderful positive comments, it's wonderful to know that a story of lovely people has been received well. northeast people who are actually nepalis(eg. sherpa)are good. but not the people of nagaland manipur or assam they are worst in character and are untrustworthy. whreas mizoramis only 10% r good others are culprits. if you travel in nagaland u shuld not trust any body thre and especially if u passing thrugh rural areas or near forest roads dont ask any locals or spk to them or ask for guide or ask direction they will surely misguide you and tell you to go in such a road whre u will be hunted down by cannibals. who'll murder u and cut u into pieces and cook thus eat your flesh with their families

I love this video! So full of heart, warmth and the kindness of everyday people. It's experiences like this that make me love travelling, especially in India. Toll Free Rider u r the BEST....your videos inspire me for real ride instead of making video blogs... Man I think you should try making movies also.. Like short movies kind of cause the way you narrate a vlog it just gets so interesting... Hey Rohith. I'm a backpacker myself. I travel a lot. You can stay at backpackers hostels which you can find on hostel world.com. They are really cheap and amazing (300-500 Rs/bed for a night). So,it is just a suggestion. You can check if you want to.

Hey, I do use hostels sometimes, but it is a challenge because of the limited space for luggage. But, I agree, they definitely are a good option for the budget traveller.

The hilly people are still innocent and have humanity. This is from my personal experience during my treks and mountaineering expeditions in the Himalayas.
