Great analysis! This development forces us to profoundly rethink human work and society. THX for the effort of collecting the data and doing the calculation!

Indeed, society, work and the economy will not be the same as soon as humanoid robots start proliferating.

Very orientating and inspiring! The question I ask myself: what does this mean for our economic system and the way we define work? Ideally, we as humans will become massively more productive. If things go badly, value creation is massively concentrated on a few and the rest is left behind. With all the transformations that are already causing us problems today, this technology has the potential to make us long for the past even more, doesn't it? Therefore: isn't the challenge more in the social consequences than in the technology?

Yes, we will address the societal and economic consequences in a future episode. Humanoids will spark the biggest disruption of work in human history.

When these Robots take over employees in the building and painting and decorating industry, as well as plumbing and electrical etc etc; then we sre in big trouble.

It's truly captivating to witness the rapid advancements in robotics and to consider the vast array of possibilities that these developments may bring in the future. The notion that humanoid robots could become significantly more affordable and efficient than human workers within a few years opens up a world of potential economic benefits. However, this also brings to the forefront important questions about the challenges that such advancements could pose for the labor market and society as a whole. We must carefully contemplate the impact on employment, the potential need for new skills, and the broader societal implications of integrating increasingly capable robotic technologies into everyday life.

I know what you mean. There is a certain danger, I agree. I think that it is more likely that if we get work done by them we will achieve higher standard and quality of life for all of humankind.

Why should they be "humanoid"? What happened to "form follows function"?
@DrPeroMicic
@DrPeroMicic 2 месяца назад
Specialized robots will always be more efficient for their specific task. The universality of Humanoids is their core strength. They can be used to do ANY task a human can do. They are software-defined. Be a gardener in one hour and a cook in the next and then a carpenter. Because the entire world is built for a humanoid being, human or robot.
@Kenny-tc6rg
@Kenny-tc6rg 2 месяца назад
The human bot is only necessary for doing the task's that people can't. Send them off into space. No life support required apart from an abundance of energy. 10 robot that can self assemble, so part's can be send.

In view of China's shrinking society, it is understandable that the government there is entering the robotics market so intensively! The cost advantages are just another plus point...
@DrPeroMicic
@DrPeroMicic 3 месяца назад
Indeed. China's is shrinking and is getting older. Humanoids might help them (and us) remedy the shortage of human workers. 100 Mio. workers will be missing globally already in 2030.
