That was one of the most badly written parts of an overall subpar story. Up until that point, humanity hasn't waited for an excuse but actively avoided conflict. That's the complete opposite to waiting for an excuse. Either your actively avoiding war, or you are looking for an excuse. Not both

@@markusjongren4098 It's less looking for an excuse, and more looking for vindication. Modern societies are pretty dead set on behavior that is deemed heroic. By taking seemingly excessive steps to avoid conflict, humanity does not need to hold back, or feel guilt for dusting of the checklist.

I was half expecting the Terrans to turn up on the opposite side of the war simply due to the ultimatum. But upon reflection, the actual result is much much smarter. They come to the Council's aid, demonstrate their immense power, and stroll away with a vassal state while eliminating a threat that would presumably have been a problem for the Terrans in the future as well. And presumably dissuade many other would-be conquerors.

Not only that, but these were the very people about ready to launch an intergalactic war on two fronts to strip and plunder the terrans (us) of all of their resources to fuel their war efforts, and didn't hold back letting the whole universe know about it. They walked into this one with their eyes open. 😉

Yes, Their AI has little/no memory and will repeat parts of the story not knowing. They should at least proofread what was generated before uploading. They could also change AIs, I believe some AIs have the ability of recent memory in time.

The ultimatum must have shaped the ending, right? Hmm? Did anyone ever ask the "empire" for help? They were waiting for the right time you just never asked for help and then when you do it's a threat. I think the council should feel lucky the empires fleet didn't immediately point there guns at the councils fleet.

Do not fear the species that would grasp the first chance of starting a war. Instead, fear the one that seems reluctant and prefer diplomatic methods over military methods despite having vast resources. It's not a sign of weakness or cowardice, but a sign of utter control and mastery of war combined with a deep knowledge of any possible opponent.

The Galactic Council couldn't even defend themselves, and the Terrans distinctly hinted that even worse was out there than whet they just faced. If the Council plays it stupid, they'll be facing the next invaders alone without the Terrans coming to the rescue. I guess time will tell.

Aliens try to bully humans/human allies or attack humans Either they under estimate humans and get their butts kicked or They annihilate most of the humans but leave some alive where the humans vow revenge spend their time rebuilding then kick alien butt Except humans always tried to avoid war because they were so good at it and want to be more than warmongers (Also humans live on a “death world” also having some physical attribute(s) all other aliens don’t have and/or don’t know humans have and are shocked humans have)

Reminds me of the story that the galactic council had the same opinion, until there was an AI started wiping their fleets out they asked for help, humans showed up and displayed they had a few doomsday weapons...just in case. Which caused a freakout that the diplomats had super nukes, just in case. I would've been most worried that the short message after the demands did not mention what side they would join on.

The way I see this, they merely want to help in there own way. The way im seeing it is, they can decline this, however know that if they choose to no longer be allies with the Terrans, that this would be a monumental mistake. Terrans simply want to help stabilize the galaxy. However at what cost would this be? So Terrans become the new police force and that the galatic council needs to cooperate? So yea submission to the Terrans. xD Sounds about right.

We as a race are a fighting species we've always fought against each other. But whenever there's been a bigger threat to the world's people multiple nations join up to stop the threat. In the early 1900s everyone knew that the USA was a massive power but we preferred mind our own business so to speak. Yes we got involved in WW1 then through the naval treaties tried to prevent the second. The came Japan attacking us and then Hitler said fuck it I'm already going up against the largest empire on the world and a country 4 times my size let's just piss off the largest industrial power also and declare war on them also.

And still the lack of quality control, like it is entirely done by computer / AI without any human control. Repeating segments, the unnatural flow of the spoken word, and errors in the subtitles (I don't understand those, you have the original text after all) I am not supporting this channel any longer. It seems to be a money-grab with minimal effort.

The problem is that the AI generates captions based on the audio narration, rather than using the accurate script text. I'm opting for a more precise approach by using the text directly from my script/story to create the captions. This does, however, require additional time for proofreading and editing the srt file.
