Usually the recaps are great but this had a ton of info wrong. The covenant want the Halo to basically find their afterlife. The Spartans were for dealing with insurgents not Aliens.
Havent watched the show but isnt a lot of shit wrong in the show itself? Like spartans taking of their armor, the whole internal struggle within the UNSC, the flood, the main characters and everything else?
@@justinwhite2725its from the game. But the show has made a shitload of changes that dont make sense. Basicly in the games humanity is fucked and is trying everything to extend the moment of defeat. But they arent playing dumb games and infighting, they are fully commited and clever as fuck. The covenant doesnt have human members because it doesnt make sense as a basic level (reasons why they want to kill humanity is because humans are a threat to the religion that keeps the covenant united). Spartans dont take of their armor. Ever. Doesnt make sense. Reach is humanities last major planet before the aliens hit earth. Its not abbonend for dumb reasons, its fought for every inch. Halsey and Cortana are completly diffrent. The allien infection shit is found on HALO and its completly diffrent. Not a fun biological weapon you smuggle with you to cause a minor distraction. Its litteraly the biggest threat. Sort zombie hivemind that grows smarter with everything it touches, takes over in seconds and it cant be cured by any means. Also we miss out on a few amazing characters.
@@connorfrederixon7508no dude! IMAGINE IT! the big green guy in a game!? they probably make him a have friendly suit of armour tho more colours. Like a rainbow, and everyone can be like Hiim. OH! And mabey they do the same thing and make him have a love story😂 And instead of killing the aliens they make friends and learn each others pronouns. For all those….scUMMMMMy they/ themers
They weren’t forced to create the soldiers because of the aliens. Dr halsey created them long before the aliens as a way to crush rebellion on earth. They just so happened to be useful when the aliens did show up.
The rebellion was on most human colonies so Halsey and ONI decided they wanted to get rid of them and then came the first interactions then later the fall of Reach
According to these writers, that never happened. But as we all can agree, this series was never meant to happen... in this way. Thanks Hollywood and 343i-lliterate fucks.
The rebels were in multiple colonized planets. They didn't like the United Earth Government interfering in their way of life. They killed civilians in Acts of terror, similar to what happened in northern Ireland. The Spartan 1 program plucked the brightest kids from the outer colonies, and replaced them with clones. They were very effective against the rebellion. However when the Covenant (a collection of multiple alien races) started attacking planets most of the rebels put the differences behind them. If my recollection is correct All the subsequent Spartans were created to fight against the covenant.
@@ThatBrubakerFellow actually it was spartan II, spartan I was just a bunch of marines that got stronger than regular marine. Spartan II and III (also IV) is the actual super soldier
I'm not gonna surprised if the story suddenly killed master chief and create the clone of him and that clone sacrifice himself to revive the deceased original master chief
i dont understand how they had so much material and novels to make a love letter to halo fans, and what we get is just a cookie cutter war drama, you literally could remove the UNSC and replace it with the army and have a vague alien treat and nothing would be different, the biggest issue is the fact that JOHN 117 is not even depicated like hes game counter part, its funny becasue bungie marketing team did halo so much better and ironic becuase that was just 2 min videos for marketing, like WTF just becuase you add likeness of halo and its world doesnt make anything this season and the 2nd have been anywhere near a halo series. and i dont believe for 1 second that anyone involved played or was a halo fan
@@tremarley9648 share the link to the series you've been watching because so far is an alternate bizarre world and story with added characters that should have never existed. I'm glad you like what they've done but to me, I hope this was the last season of whatever this was.
wow they really crammed everything into the plot .. aliens, mutant zombies, tech, spiritual stuff .. I always heard Halo was a good game series. Is this a case of a bad tv/netflix/whatever adaptation?
horrible adaptation. the game does a much better job of easing you into the world of halo, by focusing on each of those aspects individually instead of all at once. the dialogue in the games is also 500x better and not cringe inducing. halo 2 is one of the best written games of all time imo.
no folks its not wrong or bad adaptation, but there is hidden agenda behind everything happening in series as in real life, specifically at the end of the season 2 and the "flood" showing you some truths that happened in our history for real
@@outlawedTV88 They absolutely butchered the flood. What is shown in the show is very wrong, simply looking at the flood wiki for a minute will show you how badly they messed up.
This series might get canceled before they've done anything on the actual Halo. Season 2 was marginally better than season 1, but jeez....it took them two whole seasons just to get to the Halo. You can always count on season-long story arcs to never actually get anywhere, as most modern writers are hacks who don't know how to resolve story threads correctly.
that'd be awesome, if done well. but honestly, I don't think a movie or series could do it justice. because while ME does have one overarching plot, the amazing part is all the stuff that happens along the way, like .. what class you choose, who you befriend, who you save, what civilisation you save or sacrifice and how, whether you play paragon or renegade and how that affects your crew, who you romance (if at all), all the amazing side missions and dlc stuff etc etc. - these are all tons of personal choices and vastly different between people who played the game series. the writers of a movie/series adaptation can only make one story, and they would have to present you with choices _they_ made for the character and the plot. this takes away a key element of the ME experience imo. idk .. maybe it can be done, but ME is a tall order, and if it can't be done well, I'd rather they don't adapt it at all x) I don't know any other game where two people can take the same "journey", but have such vastly different experiences along the way.
@@augustaseptemberova5664 Imagine they make a movie with every character story and you can pick only one to watch. but that wud be most expensive series in history but also the best
It's sorta been done before. Babylon 5 had a very likness to it. But with cgi and other tech. How good could it look. A computer animated movie would work as well.
to anyone wondering how they fd up a halo show that bad (i believe this is about it) "Halo Showrunner Says "We Didn’t Look At The Game" In an interview with Variety, Steven Kane spoke about the creative process behind Paramount's take on Halo, revealing that they didn't look at or think about the games. Kane said, "We didn’t look at the game. We didn’t talk about the game. We talked about the characters and the world. So I never felt limited by it being a game.”
6:52 this actor, Schreiber, he should've played Sabertooth in Wolverine film instead of his half-brother. He's a beast. I'm glad they at least show him to be considerable larger and stronger than humans. I know the actor is a big dude like 6'-4" but he's shown as like 7' in this show But it begs the question, how can a few dozen human soldiers arrest a platoon of Spartans? How could they arrest a SINGLE spartan? When they have that armor on, they're virtually indestructible (to small arms fire) ... aren't they? I only ever played Halo, the very first one. It seemed like just a cool first person shooter. I had no idea what the Halo was. I only ever played mutliplayer bc it was addictive as fuck. I only ever played once or twice bc when I did, I thought 15-20 minutes had passed when 3 hours had passed and my GF was UNHAPPY in my room across the hall. I then understood why my neighbors missed classes everyday. I understood so much. I don't think I ever played again, much to my GF's delight. She was one that was worth it. Most of them are not.
People complain too much about Chief taking his helmet off, tbh it would've been weird AF if he kept it on the whole time. That stuff only works in the games.
I aint ever seen this "Halo" series...but, so far...it seems like the moment Master Chief took his armor off, he just never put it back on :( Additionally, the rest is just beginning to seem a little dumb, and it's like Cortana isn't even assigned to John...like how she'd chosen John in the first game and then stuck with him until she turned against the UNSC. And where's Blue Team? Kelly, Frederic, Linda? Also...the Arbiter and Chief had became allies...yet, they're going against eachother, and Chief even actually kills the Arbiter???? Chief wouldn't have just let a fellow Spartan beat his ass...he may not have actually fought back, but he'd still defend himself. I mean...I see the Covenant, and I hear the name "John", and I know the series is called "Halo"...but so far...I don't think I'm seeing any "Halo" here :/
the only thing about the aribiter, is that there is more than 1 arbiter. the one that teams up with chief could come later, but they will probably bonk that too.
Nah and they killed the homie Arbiter so now their isn't going to be a cool ass team up for the events of Halo 3. I have no clue who is showrunning this but they have an art for stomping on people's opinions
The fact that MC is walking around out of his suit Nd just talking to people seems weird as hell and this recap also confirmed my suspicions that this series is shit
11:24 Hold up just a minute. Cap Keyes is a black man? This is not Halo at all. And who is Master Chief? It’s all so wrong. I grew up reading the books 😭
@@treefoxinc.3867 Wrong. "Halo" would have made for an amazing movie. This seems to be based on the Chinese knockoff "Haro" Otherwise why make up so much stupid stuff when there is a plethora of vibrant and amazing story in this world.
