Seeing Tim McGraw perform in Philadelphia, where he is known as ''Tug's son'', is special. He is royalty in the City of Brotherly Love thanks to the legacy of his father, the late Phillies pitcher and World Series champion, Tug McGraw. When Tug pitched, he was known as a ''fireman''. There is no doubt that Tug's spirit was in the Wells Fargo Center on this night but as great as he was in his role on the mound, even he could not have extinguished the fire that his son brought to the stage on this night. The place was ablaze with excitement from the start of the night until the lights came up at the very end. The Philly audience can be proud of they treated a favorite's son. Really, the audience spurred Tim and his wonderful band on and pushed them to be as good as they can be. It was a show of appreciation...in more ways than one.
The evening began with a short set from Tim's nephew, Timothy Wayne. He is one to watch. Next, we were treated, and I do mean treated, to a set by Grammy winner, Carly Pearce. She was so genuine on that stage. She wears her heart on her sleeve and is such a talent that one day soon, she's going to the headliner in venues like Madison Square Garden. Mark my words. Thank you, Carly. I loved your set.
