One of the VERY few months that contains more than one game from ky wishlist (Callisto and Fashion Police). Though I'm not a fan strategy games like Vic3 or Humankind, this is definitely a great bundle imo. Thanks again for your consistently awesome reviews!
Easy skip for me. I struggle to get into these menu driven games with massive tutorials acting as a barrier to entry. Every once and a while I'll give one a shot and they rarely win me over. The last one I got into was Civ 5 so its been a while. I am very much interested in Symphony of War because I've never played a Fire Emblem game and don't have a Nintendo console so that's a strong alternative. Its not enough to justify buying the bundle though. The bottom line is that they should have spread these games across several months rather than cram them into a single bundle.
Completely agree, the idea of "Themed months" feels wrong for a monthly service. It's great for the bundles themselves, but Choice should be more of a sampler.
Same, both skip and the reasons why. Especially it seems most of the games is inspired by another game, not a bad thing though. Fashion Police is the only one that stands out (ironic). But I already heard the cute joke, but not a fan of fashion in general to justify the package. Also agree, HB should have spread the games into different months. Though I do have my eye on the VR bundle that is out right now. So it's not a total loss for this month.
Same for me. I wish HB had an option to pick what want and get a discount if we only pick one game, and the $1 tier and pay what we want bundles. I find myself spending less on HB after IGN takeover. They even stopped given discount incentives to to not skip a month.
Oof, I knew I forgot something, will update with the times now. (I actually use those myself, it's great when I'm coming back and just want to remember my opinion on a specific titles). updated now.
I've invested over 55 hours into Symphony of War so far, making this a great month. Additionally, it's been a month where four games from my wish-list have been acquired, which is incredible.
It would be the first not skipped month for a while now for me, but I'm a strategy games enjoyer so I like that we finally got not only one but two strategy games headliners.
I did notice there was a lot of strategy and tactics game in the bundle. I was wondering if you were going to comment on it until you did. But I tend to like this kind of game (except for Victoria 3, which I have no interest in), so I'm fine with them, especially Symphony of War, since I love the Fire Emblem series. That being said, I'd be upset if there were so many similar games in a Choice bundle if I didn't like the genre. A couple of the other games (Coromon and Fashion Police Squad) are on my wishlist, but I don't care about either of the headliners. I love Dead Space, but from what I've seen about Callisto Protocol I'm not sold on it. I'm still on the fence, but I'll probably end up getting the bundle.
Would you believe it! No deck builder or roguelike this time. Anyway, strangely the best month I ever had so far, with 5 wishlist, and the other ones seem interesting to play enough. While there's no high want to play game, they're all quite solid.
Woah, I wasn't expecting the review to be this glowing. I'm not sure if I'm as positive on this month, though I prefer action/narrative focused games to sandbox strategy games. Thanks for the review.
Yeah with those genres as your favorite this would lose a lot of luster, leaving pretty much Excavation of Hob's Barrow. Normally that's what I latch onto but I still have a huge passion for the strategy genre.
Wow, you were really generous with the bundle this month! I do agree though, it was a really good month. On the note of Humankind, did you get any substantial time playing with the Together We Rule pack? Wondering what your thoughts were on the changes if so. Great review!
If I didn't have Koromon and Symphony of War, I would go for it. Calisto Protocol and Humankind seem to have issues although some half of players like them.
I’m trying to weigh up if symphony is worth the cost of the bundle I’m currently unsubed to the bundle so I’ve got a month to come to a conclusion, it max discount according to steamDB is slightly more than the cost of the bundle so it’s a saving but I don’t know if the rest of the games are enough to push me to a yes.
