Boy Hi Fi Rush sure looks great. I sure hope nothing bad ever happens to that studio ever. We could sure use more games like that from Xbox right now :D
I found your videos through a Steam review you left on the store page and now I cannot WAIT for your videos each month. I went as far back as early 2022 to see if there were any games I might enjoy but skipped over redeeming because the art/store page didn't grab me. You make my month every month, Kinglink!
Glad to be validated with King of the Castle. Had a bit of qualms talking about a game I didn't actually play. Surprised that Bravery and Greed only made average on your list. For me, this definitely felt like one of the better rogue-lites in a while. Although...I will admit that it was a bit easy. I had died once with the rogue but once I switched to Amazon, it felt a little too easy to just spam my chakram on the bosses. And Tango Gameworks...man, such a pity. Sometimes I really don't get the decisions made in the AAA space...or I do, but it just sucks that it usually just boils down to money. Anyway, great review, man!
I will probably skip even though I bought last month's after a long series of skips. So I'm probably in a minority with my choices. As most people did the other way around I think
Was waiting for your video as usual. I'm on the fence - I've tried to get into Yakuza before never succeeded but did love hi fi rush on Xbox when I had game pass. Probably will pick this up if I get the discount but otherwise meh
Thanks for the review, it helps me decide, which is SO hard for me to, since HiFi rush seems awesome, but i’m not sure about the rest. Yakuza is great but i’ve never been interested in it, Loddlenaut also seems great but i work in sustainability field so it doesn’t feel like a cozy escape, more like a cozy study 😂 Steelrising, i like the genre but not the visual and theme (i like Kena and KH, but not dark gloomy game like souls). Interested in the horror game but i can’t stand jumpscares. And the other rest, i wont even touch them. Not even gonna glance at Mediterranea, trippy sex and drug drama theme rly isn’t for me, i watched the trailer and went “ew”, so 😂
A strange month indeed, 2 wishlist (the headliners), 4 fine, and 2 skip. Pretty much like what you ranked, haha. Steve jobs was right, when the marketing and shareholders run the company, making great games doesn't matter anymore and the ones that love doing it get driven out...
