Video- Humble elephant with a tumor in his leg gets treated by a Minister in charge of Wildlife
This footage is about an old and weak elephant with a tumor in his leg. It was seen having trouble walking around as well. Wildlife officers are always on time at such dire situations, and they wanted to treat this elephant after a checkup quickly. They were able to tag along with a minister in charge of the wildlife department. This minster is well known for being active across the fields of work given to him.
It is still a very difficult and a life-threatening thing to approach a giant this big. They are still capable of sending any human being flying even when they are sick and weak. Wildlife officers used the tranquillizer gun to shoot the elephant with medical shots as antidotes and proper medical attention.

What medical does this Elefant gets!? ? Help this medicals really against the tumor--so that he getting smaller or left- or does they only for the pain, or getting not bigger than now? @@KimKim-pp5fn yes they did, it isn’t a tumor#1, it’s a terrible infection, which is dripping o the inside of his leg. I believe those are pain meds, and antibiotics to treat the infection.

Notice the elephant is still making low noises. I think he may still be in touch with other elephants within hearing range. If he bellows out in pain or fear the other elephants may come charging in. They all know the humans will probably help, but can't be too sure. Just make sure they give him enough anesthesia.

If it was a solid tumor and they had to perform surgery the elephant would be laying down and anesthetized. Draining a cyst is all about creating an opening for the cyst to drain. Antibiotics would be given as infection is usually present. That's my best guess.

Also confused as they took a sample, but it was a stream of blood or a dark substance that looked like blood coming from the swollen area. Normally a cyst can have an opening to drain, but a large needle is stuck in first to confirm if it is indeed a cyst with puss on the inside before any incision is made. If the elephant may be tracked to see if the infection is helped with the antibiotics or they can get the elephant closer to an area where laying the animal down with easier access to water to irrigate and flush opening a potential cyst that may be preferable after checking the sample they have for infection and confirming antibiotic choice as cysts have normally walled themselves off and need to be punctured or they can rupture in ugly ways.

this just breaks my heart to see these dear ones with health or injury issues, but the boys there so steadfast in their duties as protectors, healers, friend you are to be honored for your dedication to these very special creations, i now am working full time in local zoo to help care and work with the dearest in my heart. i feed bathe and do foot care on the elephants clean their living area and just socialize with them and our bond is growing, i received a plane ticket to Africa for my birthday, i spent my days there going into the wild to be alone and one on one with them. a guide was with me but he knew to let me be. I kept a respectful distance but they were interested in seeing who i was, and came close i just remained quiet and allowed them to make the moves, it is their home, they invited me in. i had 2 fun filled weeks with them. i now work with them here, so i have made my dream come true. the zoo now has two new babies so the moms are busy i go about my duties and they do theirs i will keep my distance. i am a happy camper thank you my angels for looking after these dear ones, my next trip i am going to visit your country. till then be safe, happy and well, hug the elephants for me.
