Incredible pie shop. Even for a sad veggo like me. Obviously we have pies in Australia....a lot, in fact....but this place flipped my and the fair lady's collective mind. The Granny style Jam Roly Poly at the end was the perfect finish. Will definitely go again next time we're over 💜💚
Pining for a great pie. Especially a nice steak and kidney pie. We don't have the same pie culture where I live. Our pies are good, but very different. Thanks for the video!
2012 I blacked out in the humble pie shop and got took off to hospital in an ambulance after barfing all over their floor. It was not the food at the Humble Pie it was a blood pressure problem. I highly recommend the tucker in that shop. Only been a couple times and it was great.
I really enjoy your videos lost of great info on different places to try in Whitby...we've Been coming to Whitby since kids were 10&12 both now in their 30s its my most favourite in the world! Keep the videos coming! 😊
Oh yes this is where im going to go on the Wednesday when im in Whitby. Good thing is they have Vegan pies too yay . No Romany Hommity pie has no meat at all in it. All part of the vegan and vegetarian range which is great.
Cheers, Simon👍🏻 Yes.. The humble pie & mash shop Lovely food on a tin plates , Great 1940s theme With music and atmosphere from that time period. When visiting Whitby with my wife We use to call in here, then it was £6.99 per meal. But now £11.99 is a bit hard to Swallow. 😕
@@simplywhitby5356 Hey Simon, Too true, we paid £35+ in there for two meals, two mugs of tea & a shared pudding😕. Talking of time period themed places to visit. More ideas for your Vlogs now springs here, Whitby museum & Pannett park.🌴👍🏻
Never been in all the years I e visited whitby it’s on my bucket list though ,there were rumours a few months ago it was closing down but last week I was there and still open
Just came across your channel today and subscribed. As a kid we used to stop at a train station on the West cliff. I think it shut in the 60s is there anything left of it or the line up to the viaduct.
@@simplywhitby5356 It used to come from Middlesbrough I think along the coast through some tunnels near kettleness through to sandsend past the golf club. Stop at West cliff station. Then down a hill into Whitby or over a big viaduct to Scarborough. I come to Whitby a lot but never venture over there and just wondered if anything was left. I've been in the pie n mash too and the grub is lovely.
@@narkyspark The old line route is now a walkway right up to Scarborough and is called the cinder track, it goes over the high viaduct with brilliant views of Whitby.
