The Yamaha Tenere 700 humbled me on this spin, a proper struggle in the greasy conditions.

Great effort Jason...impressive stuff! Wet grass is my nemesis...i rode across the farm to fix a water trough a few weeks ago and dropped the T7 4 bloomin times 😂! But i love the awesome road handling with my Dunlop Raid's and would rather take a tumble off road anytime!! Cheers Steve 💚

I’ve heard good things about those tyres. Nice one though Steve, glad to hear you’re still enjoying the T7 too

I must keep missing you by a few hours here and there. I was up at the sandpit on Sunday, needless to say I spent a couple of hours cleaning the T7 when I got home. Great fun though especially when you forget to switch abs off 😅👍

That deep clean is important. I made the mistake of leaving it once, poxy corrosion as a result is all over 😓 Lesson learnt

Funny enough I have stock suspension and tranctionnators on my T7 and I feel it has tons of grip. I'd complain about grip too if I'd tackle steep hills without any momentum. Any tires will get you stuck mid hill driving like that. (You were right about youtube comments hehe). Still love your content. Cheers from Canada.

Tires were great in fairness to them the week previously. But when you’re in wet mud with a lot of bed rock thrown in, it’s a different story. Lack of confidence leads to lack of momentum 🤷🏼‍♂️

which Tractionators were you using? * Adventure * Rallz * GPS

Adventure. They’re still decent tyres in some conditions, just not up to Irish mud

At 452 pounds, that’s not your typical dirt bike.

@@motorbikediaries Question: can you elaborate on why the experience of riding a heavy beast like the T7 is so fun or rewarding on single track? I've watched a good number of your videos and have seen your struggles and triumphs and wonder if I would like the T7? I have a WR250R, which is about 68kg lighter than the T7 and I wonder if the weight or anything else off road would annoy me? Any thoughts/insights would be appreciated!

@@maybeerainmaybeesnow This is a harder question to answer then I thought it would be 😂 It’s hard to say, it’s a real struggle at times and no fun at all, others I wouldn’t change it for the world. I obviously got my KTM because of the weight ‘issue’. I believe the KTM has made me a much better rider (albeit with a long way to go). The T7 is a real unicorn in my opinion once you understand what it is and stop trying to make it something it isn’t. That was a bit of a learning curve for me, I kept throwing money at the T7 but at the end of the day it’s a 220kg adventure bike with a very mediocre rider at best on it. Get the T7 while understanding it will never perform like your WR however it will take you places it has no right, and that’s where the satisfaction comes. Try bringing it up swampy single track with little momentum and that’s where you will find yourself frustrated real quick. The T7 is incredible on the road and off, the motor is one of the best out there and is well documented as the most reliable. It’s a top heavy bike, and you’ll notice it the instant you throw a leg over, depending on your build it could be make or break. I’m not sure if this answer helps or not 😂

@@maybeerainmaybeesnow also just to add and actually answer part of your question. Riding the T7 on single track, due to its weight brings a lot more adrenaline at much lower speeds. So you get a great buzz from riding a bigger bike in my opinion. The motor is also really user friendly and jumping it is super easy. I’ve jumped things on the T7 and then try on the ktm and nearly flip the bike. So the user friendly nature is fantastic

@@motorbikediaries Thank you very much for your thoughts compadre! The reliability of WRs has been so great for the past 14 years, which is one of the most attractive features of the T7. I've read a lot about the CP2 and look at the T7 just like my WRs, an investment that can last a really long time. I love my WRs, but if I have a passenger with me the single cylinder 250cc is not enough on hilly or mountain roads. I hope to test ride a T7 soon! I have sat on a few T7s before and know that I can lean the bike about 30-40 degrees before I might have to lay it down. Safe and happy riding friend. : )
