52 yr old female, fell in yard 11 days ago when misstepped and didn’t adjust for 6” elevation change, had surgical repair today for upper humerus diagonal break on non-dominant arm. Most definitely would choose surgical route again and again.
I broke my humerus a month ago. I had to get surgery two weeks laters cause there were small pieces (it was necessary). Now, two weeks after surgery my xray looks pretty good and feel better. The only bad thing about it, it’s that I can raise my finger snd wrist (before I could). Doctor said it’s odd cause he didn’t touch my nerve, but eventually it’ll come back. I recommend the surgery even though it was pretty painful first days.

I wish I was given the option to have surgery on my mid-shaft humeral fracture. The non-surgical treatment route was excruciatingly painful, very lengthy and my arm now is obviously deformed causing most of my fitted tops to not fit my healed arm. I am also an athlete and ended up taking an entire year off before returning to figure skating.
I have my mid. shaft humeral fracture too now. it happened last June 29 and the bones are still at 5mm away from each other. How many weeks before your arm healed?

@@SubtleArtOfLiving Yes its been 1 year today, I was pretty much back to normal after about 5 month after it happen, now its been 1 yead and I'm pretty much back to normal but still can't sleep on that side because it feels weird...all I did was take a bunch of vitamin d and calcium and k2 pills which help absorb the calcium into the bone you can find those on amazon...bro just swallow a bunch of them daily like breakfast lunch and dinner your gonna be fine I promise you....also my radial nerve palsy was gone after 5 months too...its a struggle but I give you about 4 more months and you should be back to dancing at the club and swimming this summer, I hope this help don't be afraid to ask me any questions also

I had an operation on January but after 10month also humerus surgery was done again because of nonunion it will cure my hand or no can any one giive good suggestions for not to have 3rd surgery
i have a friend with complete midshaft humerous fracture. 4 weeks now in his fracture, he can not move his arm but its not painful. Is there a development in his fracture?
operate or not. hmmm.....? well if you're not able to operate this kind of fracture maybe you should think about working in a morgue where you don't need to work with living people
