How do you prepare yourself to pray?
If you're like most people, you try to find a quiet spot, recollect yourself, and do your best to focus on God.
(No small task in today's hectic world!)
But there's another extremely important factor that can mean the difference between prayer that 'works' and prayer that, well...doesn't.
Of course, I'm not saying this factor is somehow the secret to getting whatever you want from God.
He answers prayers in His own perfect time, in His own perfect way - and that may or may not jibe with the answer we're hoping for.
In fact, prayer is more for us than it is for God.
But we know from Scripture that there's a certain disposition or attitude on our part that can make our prayers and meditations more effective.
And in today's Sainthood Snippet, I explain exactly what it is - and why it's foundational not only to prayer, but to our entire relationship with God.
