Hummingbird Totem--Your Personal Power Animal's Personality Characteristics and Life-Path Lessons 

After moving back out to the rural area I grew up in (new job, be closer to my elderly parents) I noticed hummingbirds buzzing around some flowers. I bought two feeders which would empty while I was at work and I'd have hummingbirds buzzing me, telling me to fill them up. They now peek in the kitchen window whenever I get home to see if I'm making them more sugar water. I'm now up to 8 feeders with at least 30 of these tweaked out maniacs buzzing around. They give me so much joy to watch and the highlight so far was having one perch on my finger to rest while feeding. I enjoy sitting outside every evening talking to and watching these curious birds feed inches away and also hover in front of my face, going back and forth and doing that little curious chirp as they study me. I've never felt such peace before with these little friends I definitely feel are my spirit animal-what I WANT to be, grab the present and let go of the past and future.

Wow I’m a tiger and a hummingbird and these guys have a lot in common but the hummingbird is so insanely s curate it made me cry! I’ve teetered on death many times I get sick easily I’m energetic and I’m an artist I’m always on the go, I’m so emotional and I’m told that I have a deep understanding of being present.. I don't normally comment on video's, but I thought only the spirit guide would apply, but it turns out the totem does too! Spiders love me, but never bite me, so I thought that was my only totem (I rehome them outside even). I'm going through some difficult life changes right now and humming birds keep literally flying in my face. I don't have a feeder for them, but they love my medicinal hibiscus and ornamental hibiscus plants. They build their nests in my pear trees using my hair, my chicken's feathers, and the finest twigs you ever saw, all tightly woven together masterfully. I guess I need to let go of the idea I'd be spending the rest of my life in the country and will be moving back to a large city. I've spent a lot of time learning how to make herbal medicine and foraging (even my children know), so maybe it's time to rejoin the world. Thanks for the insight!

I’ve always been in love with hummingbirds, I see them all the time, and as a child one of my most precious memories is how my moms face would light up when she would see one. She’d point and smile in the most wonderful way..I got a hummingbird tattoo recently and got curious about the meaning after seeing someone else get a similar tattoo and post a brief meaning..this video blew me away. Thank you so much! My whole life (I am 31) Hummingbirds have come up to me on a regular basis whenever I am outside. I am an avid hiker/ outdoorsman and a landscaper, so a lot of my time is spent outside. By come up to me I mean hover in front of me and we just look at each other, buzz around me, land on a branch close by and look at me. This past weekend I was on a hike and from the moment I woke up the morning after hiking to the top there they were. One landed on the line holding my hammock to the tree (I was camped out at 5,000 ft on top of a mountain) and just looked at me. From there they kept buzzing by me, two of them. They would land on branches and look at me and I would stop and be still and look at them and then they would lighting fast bolt off the branch towards me (they never landed more then 10 feet away) hover in front of me and fly off and then buzz by again a few moments later. This kept up for a few hours as I made my way down the mountain. I even told my friend who was with me and only kept getting glimpses of them that I think the Universe is trying to tell me something. One was green with a yellow belly and some red/pink in the wing feathers and the other was a mix of blue/ green with a spotted white belly. That is just one example but a very profound one. Looking back I think its the most powerful experience I've had with them. I have been going through some rough times and when I'm out in the wild I feel the most alive and especially on this hike I felt very enlightened and joyful and just happier then I had in awhile. I feel as though they showed themselves so dramatically to say "hey, you aren't fulfilling your needs of enough". I have been feeling stuck with work life, my relationship and my living situation and tackling a very long and hard but exciting journey as long been on my mind, but there have been many factors keeping me from just doing it like I normally would just go and make big decisions on an impulse. Anyways, It was very powerful to me and then I get home and watch this video from you the next morning and you posted it on my Birthday a few years ago. Just perfect, thank you again. I just wanted to share that with you.

I've always liked humming birds. When i was a child we had many living in the trees and at the fountains. I have for the past two years been doing internal healing. Reiki attunement, yoga, meditation. I've been dreaming of hummingbirds. They are dying of starvation in my dreams or trapped in a room and then killed. I've been healing abuse, and they seem to be prominently appointing themselves in this area. its also interesting to me that this video is 11:11 Your video is sweet and so are you... Hummingbirds may be small and look innocent but they are feisty territorial and will attack you if they feel threatened ,trust me, I know. I am speaking from experiences.

I don't know what my spirit animal is, in the zodiac I am the crab and in the Chinese calendar I am the rabbit which are both nurturing and homebodies, they make their home their sanctuary and they like to pamper themselves. Anyways, I took a personality test, but so many things may apply to me, not just one, The first result I got was a wolf, then a bear, and lastly a deer.
