Loved this one but then I do love the places where you go and you explain everything so well both of you. Hope you are feeling better Art and Julie i hope your knees are OK , that was steep but such beautiful views from the top towards Simi Valley and the San Fernando Valley and you gave good advice about trekking poles water and the All Trails App.Great that they have a mountain bike repair station there too and so good Julie that you saw a hummingbird on the hummingbird trail ! ~ Anna 👍

The weather is just right at the moment for some hikes - not too cold, and we don't yet have the blazing Southern California heat. It was nice to get out in our local hills, and this hike gave us quite the workout. And we are all better now, thanks Anna!

We really enjoy the Corriganville Trail and having taken visitors there. Hummingbird is much more of a workout. So many great trails in Simi Valley. Thanks for stopping by to watch!

I live in the houses above Mt Sinai and run up Chumash and then across Rocky peak and do the Hummingbird loop or just go down the one leg of Hummingbird and return home. Most people on Hummingbird are lost and really looking for the Nets/Swing Cave and almost never have enough water. One other big consideration if going up the northern leg of the loop is the threat of mountain bikers running into you on weekends. They are a bit of a menace. So just be aware and keep an eye out because they think they own the trail.

We could see people under estimating their water needs, and abilities on this hike. That elevation gain got us - we made it, but we felt it. We went from south counter-clockwise when we hiked this one. An enjoyable day out. Thanks for watching!
