Martin Madarász Most of English speakers (especially Americans) don't even know what is Hungary. It's strange, but it's true and Slovakia is not any better in this case. We don't have any problems with Czechs or Poles and even not with normal Hungarians. The ones living in Slovak towns and villages where they are over 20% can speak officially Hungarian. The only more that they have to do is to learn Slovak.

This was a Huge upset if someone doesn't understand the weight of this game it's like if in football Brazil would only beat Lichtenstein 2:1 in the World Cup!Slovakia is World Champion Olympic Champion(Chechoslovakia)and everyone of their Players are NHL or ex NHL Players.Hungary never even made it to the group A before this and not one of the players have NHL experience!So it was basically a Miracle.And everyo other team even Canadians said Hungarian Fans are the Best in the World

@robo1945 Nevim co ti vadí, mě se jenom líbilo, že se Maďaři nezalekli papírově o třídu lepšího soupeře a taky favorita zápasu. Do toho zápasu prostě dali naprosto všechno a to se cení. Ano, naši hokejisti taky nejsou vždy nej, ale o tom jsem nepsal. To spíš ty trpíš nějakou maďarskou fóbií, když nedokážeš pochopit, že se někomu mohla líbit jejich hra. Kdyby předvedli takovej výkon proti nám, tak bych to pořád viděl, jako super výkon maďarů.

I am very surprised Hungarians were able to withstand all 56 Slovak shots on goal and also that they were able to score 3 goals from their total of 5 shots on goal per period. Anyhow, I have to say, that Hungarian goaltender is amazing, otherwise it'd be more like 10:3. Well, overall this was a very good game and I can't wait to see Hungary - Canada match. That will be something like 12:1 for Canada I am sure.

Very good play by Hungarians... I always respect those who are new at WC... Very clear and organized play... The only thing were the fans... the whistling and screaming during the national anthem of Slovakia was a sort of cultural shame... But it was a nice derby, wasn't it? :o)
yeah , its true, but at this tournament we had only 3 NHL players :D :) and yes hungary was great....but what i didnt like, was when hungarian fans singing ria ria hungaria when slovak anthem played.... thats not normal...

Hi I am from Czech and I saw this match in TV and I was really excited! Hungary players were fighting like lions! The Hungary is the winner of this match for me...
I dont know if it was about politics, do you know how many soccer fans are between French,Italian,Czech,German or Russian fans, these countries has problems too, but never before any of these fans have behaved like this during the national anthem, even they were first time in WC. I would appreciate if you loudly convict such a behaviour instead of looking for exuses. Hockey players shout and even fight on the ice, its part of the game, part of the show, you got to differ that from fans acting.
