Learned this because my mom loved Chris. The day he died I remember getting a ride to school trough a blizzard while my mom and I blasted 'Rusty Cage'. R.I.P. Chris!
Thank you! I’m finding arpeggiated picking patterns to be quite challenging. This breaks it down nicely and seems like a good go to song to serve as a foundation for more challenging songs.
Great Video Sir thank you very much one of my favorite simplicity in the chord structure love the utilization of open strings and few chords with a novice picking pattern.✌😎👍💙
I know how you feel, since I'm a downpicker myself and alternate picking is not exactly a thing I would often do, but Hunger Strike is totally worth it :)
Hey Carl, I would like to let you know that your Hanger 18 lesson has well over 600 likes and you said you would finish the rest once it go to 600! Just letting you know!
Thanks Carl, I returned to this and stuck with it until I nailed the cadence and could continue without making( too many) mistakes for the length of the song. Now I have to find a couple of singers.
@Ron Coleman I understood Max Kroven to be saying that in the lesson, he did NOT have the low string tuned to D and that it's easier if you do that. Maybe I misunderstood.
Hey Carl how's it going , I know it's a hard song to learn but can you teach "teenage riot " by sonic youth. You never taught us a sonic youth song , I would really appreciate it .
NIKOS BAXEVANIDIS if you have not found it by now it's half step down. 2 0 2 4 4 4 So an F# power chord I think it's called on the low e and a strings than followed by a d power chord and an e power chord on the 5 and 7 than 7 and 9 of the a and d strings. The chorus is that F# power chord with the open e once in awhile
Carl you weote in the description that the song is in Drop D tuning but in the video you say that the guitar is in standard tuning. Can you tell me wich one is wrong?
+DereMemo We need a tutorial from this song made by Carl he's the man , the solo of the song is so good. Agree with you, Mike Oldfield is a very good guitarist :)
SilentServants old age is just E and C than goes to G A C and the chorus is A and than E The acoustic version is tuned to d so a whole step down on every string and uses power chords. The other version with grohl and krist are in standard and uses mostly open chords instead of power chords
