Hunger tightens its grip on drought-stricken Niger 

Niger is in the grip of the worst hunger crisis seen in decades. Increasingly erratic rainfall and longer dry seasons mean that many parts of the country have not had a good harvest for years.
Plan International is scaling up its emergency response in Tillabéri, Tahoua and Diffa regions to reach the most affected households with cash and voucher assistance and food rations.
