Hungering for an Encounter 

Thanks. I have been feeling like the Holy Spirit wants me to increase soaking time and speaking in tongues every day but soaking has been so hard for me as I feel like I am doing nothing and speaking in tongues the same as my mind cannot get anything from it but He has been really leading me in that direction and testimonies like yours help a lot! Thank you

If you are truly a Christian then you HAVE had an encounter. You've had the greatest encounter and miracle done to you, having your dead heart and your wretched self radically changed and saved by God. Pray to walk in holiness and to stop your sinning. Pray to not be like the rest of the world Pray to know Jesus more personally and to glorify God in all of your thoughts, words and deeds. Stop seeking after experiences and emotional, feel good encounters.

Keep coming to the Lord in the secret place and let your heart express how much you want Him. Two Scriptures come to mind. John 14:21 - "Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I too will love him and show Myself to him." (look up the greek word for show.) Hebrews 11:6 - "...anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." He's very alive, real, and tangible. When you stop and actually think about how real He is, you start feeling His presence.

Nothing wrong with desiring to feel the Lord! Even David cried out to the Lord because he felt distant from the Lord - he knew he was there, but he desired to feel the presence. I recall, he also would rather have the presence over wisdom. VERY POWERFUL. Presence is power. But, like God is using Apologia, there's moments you can rely on the knowing HE is there and sometimes not feeling Him. God is a lover, and lovers want to express love in Covenant, Truth, Promises, even Feelings... It feels good to hold your bride, doesn't it? :D Jesus feels the same as your Jayson! I'm sure you've had plenty of experiences since this comment! Bless you bro! here's those verses: Psalms 51:11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Psalm 5:3 In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. (that last verse seems to have so much truth, I just had a revelation: the more you speak out 'truth', you're prophetically speaking what is to come- by your faith, you'll receive more encounters!) Just thank Him, and they will come.

I think they set the camera to follow him and theres no actual person manning the cameras. Thats why the camera seems so "impersonal" to us. I get what you mean; esp. with all thats happening in the room - it'd have been nice to see the people.

Well laughter= joy thats kind of the point. The joy is the Lord is your strength so theres that. The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy. Acts 2 when the Holy Spirit fell, the people outside thought they were drinking at 9 am but they were filled so theres that. Paul said dont be drunk with wine but be filled with the Spirit, so hes comparing the behavior of drunkenness with what happened when the Spirit pours out. So I pray you stop limiting God so He fits into your understanding of Him. I know you think your being "discerning" but your far from it. All your doing is blocking daily encounter. Satan cant give you what he doesnt have, he doesnt have joy so its not him doing it.

I suppose you are OK with some one crying when the spirit of God comes upon a person...it is true for the one who repent...what about the one who is a child of God...what should he do but the joy of the Lord bursting forth in laughter...how can this not be scriptural...Sarah Laughed and she said she did not but the angel said she did.

Yes holy laughter isn't in the bible. But it is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. And those who follow Jesus will bear the fruits of the holt spirit. So it comes down to who are you giving the glory to. We are not worshipping our feelings or emotions. We are worshipping God and in return we are struck by His almighty presence and we can't help our little selves but to burst out in laughter!

Hi Gillian, can you PLEASE show me the verse in the Bible that says that holy laughter "is a fruit of the holy spirit"? No disrespect, but you are wrong on this one. The Bible is our standard and ultimate authority on this issue, where does the Bible say that holy laughter is on of the fruits of the spirit!??

There is nothing wrong with laughter at all, I laugh a lot actually. It's this "holy laughter" that is a disgrace. Uncontrollable laughter that is often times accompanied by swooning or falling down to the floor, this is not Biblical. The word "electricity isn't found in the Bible either? Really Brandon? That's because electricity wasn't discovered or even around in Biblical times. The word Trinity isn't found in the Bible but you believe in a Trinitarian God don't you? That's because the concept and idea is found throughout the Bible. Again, show me scripture where holy laughter like we see in charismatic churches today, is found in the Bible. I also agree that there is nothing wrong with feelings. But when we base things off of or trust our feelings, emotions and experience OVER the word of God, then that becomes a problem.

Not true. I have experienced being drunk in the spirit. It is really like being drunk in the natural, it's a lot better feeling without the hangover.

But how did he preach? Did he roll on his back and kick his feet in the air laughing? Self control and self discipline are fruits of the Spirit, you claim you are so (drunk in a spirit or slain in a spirit) you can't even focus on your own Bible! 1corinthians 14:32 "And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets". Also the "glory music track" is a satanic ritual, I feel sorry for you, you need to cry out to Jesus and flee from Satan, I will pray for you hope you can be freed by the blood of Christ.

+Brandon Wilson The glory track is the satanic music I seen you play in other meetings in order for people to accept the demons, upon dancing to the music more people accept the demons. I am a prophet and have been praying in tounges from a young age, have had much experience in healing and by the grace of God have received all of the Gifts God has to offer. This type of ministry that you have entered is of the Devil, I type this with no hesitation, I know many people that entered this type of ministry and where not able to later leave (demons come at night and physically choke those attempting to leave) you need to leave ASAP! Stop selling your soul to the Devil and seducing other's. Cry out to Jesus before it is to late!
