Its not confidence, its desperation. His views are plummeting quickly and they're just about ready to pull the plug on his show. He needed something shocking to put him into relevancy again.
I did a crazy thing and looked it up. Kimmel and Colbert are pretty much neck and neck for second behind Fallon who has held first for quite a while. Colbert is "plummeting" in that he won the first week he was on the air, but since then both he and Fallon have pretty much just floated between .4 and .5 in second/third position.
Brenda R All their shows are plummeting dude. O'Reillys show is the most watched and it barely breaks a million. The only people watching any kind of TV anymore are old people who are largely Republican which is why all these shows are getting desperate.
As soon as he pretended to pass out during his speech I spit out a mouthful of rice and now I have bits of it stuck in the back of my nose. Thanks Obama.
I hope we never lose comedians like this. This kind of level-headed satire is the last bit of sanity anchoring us to a world that's rapidly falling apart.
He's not a comedian because he's not funny. His content is the same shit. His ratings are plummeted and he's desperate for attention and better ratings before they pull the plug on his ass.
Yeah, if it was real they wouldn't have let him be on the stage for so long before the security showed up to kick him off. And there would've been more than one guy.
I thought he was funny till he said I know I'm not supposed to be up here but niether is trump. What a hypocrite. As much as I hate trump, he had every right to be up there. So Colbert doesn't like trump make fun of him all you want but that statement was just Anti-American. The trumpinator had every fucking right. What a spoiled mentality..
***** Yep. Trump is a major asshole and is far from qualified in my opinion but there's one thing I hate more than anything and that's hypocrisy. Colbert and his leftist agenda bashing the inequality and unfairness for so many years and comes out saying something like that. It's the American way. It's our right as Citizens. Trump belongs up there because he's the fucking presidential nominee. Dumb-ass Colbert only wants righteousness when it fits his agenda.
F Fushko calling out racist homophobic sexist and other bigoted bullshit is called being "triggered" then YES I AM AS TRIGGERED AS THE BRIDE FROM KILL BILL, bitch. And I'll drink every Republican tear that falls whining about "political correctness"
+sphinx onyx Holy shit this is a new record, all the liberal buzzwords in one! By all means, keep worrying about your useless social issues (ignoring the fact that we leave in the most decent societes ever) while this country's economy goes to shit because you keep electing useless liberals. Meanwhile, in Obama's oh so progressive America, whites and blacks hate each other more than ever because the media only reports police killing blacks, while ignoring the fact that whites get killed 3 times more by the police.
Desperately need this after the lunacy of the RNC. Liberal or conservative, America deserves better than a convention where the blue haired guy from the Hunger Games seems the sensible one inside a circus of chaos and stupidity
The thing that sucks about watching a video early is the only comments are those saying 1st, so I have nothing to read while waiting for the video to load
Kudos to the Telemundo lady for not getting offended as fuck at the "burrow past the wall" and "I don't speak spanish" jokes. That was a high-risk, high-reward joke attempt.
"By eunuchs I mean Paul Ryan and Reince Priebus who clearly checked their balls at the door this election" "The New Jersey delegation has saved one front row seat for Chris Christie to have the best possible view of the end of his career" LOL I love it!
It's pretty clear from that that the "secret service agent" was part of the bit. Especially the timing. Funny that the leak made everyone think he was really escorted out.
parabola1212 look it up the clintons had people killed and declared them suicides... the worst was 2 boys who "fell asleeo on railroad tracks" for seeing the CIA drug running into Arkansas airport ever see a no name governer suddenly become president
Tony Stark I wish I could agree with you, that everyone thought like us. But then you realize, oh. There are Trump supporters. They actually exist. Oh.
As a Democrat, I don't like Hillary either :-/ Many on both "sides" don't feel like there's anyone that has a shot at winning represents them. Gathering around Gary Johnson seems like the best option... I at least agree with him on social issues, and the worst that could happen is support is pulled from Trump to him.
I actually don't think we are in that bad a way this election, sure Trump may not be... the ideal candidate, but I feel he has some good points on many subjects when you listen to him speak about the issues. LOL still can't wait to see the shitshow that will be Hillary\ Trump debates!
The Telemundo lady was so nice! She was even getting ready for her show, but let Stephen joke around with her. I hope she had a good clip for her show after that!
in order to have multiple parties, we need a system that allows a third party to replace one of the two major parties. that is hard because this parties can't compete with major parties due to funding and recognition. also people are reluctant to choose a third party over the major party because of the chance they lose to the enemy party because of ticket splitting.
Great to finally see a proper tv version of this as opposed to that front row video camera that someone had posted of him storming the stage, great stuff! Can't believe Colbert was't nominated for an Emmy this year, he deserves it!
A Republican on my local talk radio said: "It's absurd that they would either allow a man with blue hair and eyebrows on stage to speak or not notice him until they did." Then of course you had the two dozen callers using the "Well Trump has orange hair and eyebrows and he's allowed on stage..." line, but what was funny was the host saying "Screen these fu... I'm sorry, these... uh... FRICKING calls, Lisa!" and then having to apologize every five minutes there after for saying "fricking." By the way, I listen to that shit because I live in a very red state and that's all the talk news I can get that time of day.
The security people are the only professionals in that place so no. I think you are confusing them with the liars and hypocrites, that are also going to be there
I think he was an actor. It looks like he's just mouthing words. If he was actually saying anything, I'm pretty sure his voice would have been picked up by the mic.
I am a republican and that gave me a grin... :) It wasnt like he was all out slandering turmp, is was like goofing around and getting a laugh in than a political statement
I thought it was Trump's spare haircut brought to life to spread the ministry of love, acceptance, restoration and that his hands are bigger than Rubio (no, not Rubio's hands, simply Rubio)?
+Stoney Lonsome British politics is boring we have a new prime minister this week but no one seems bothered. But in America you have trump and he is been taken seriously so it's very entertaining to me
