On a very windy and cold day, a Mourning Dove came to my bird feeder and grabbed as many sunflower seeds as it could quickly. I don't usually see Mourning Doves take and eat as many sunflower seeds as this Mourning Dove. When Mourning Doves come to my yard they are often calm and eat one seed at a time. The wind was catching on the Mourning Doves feathers.
I enjoy feeding wild birds in my backyards. Throughout the year I feed wild birds with a mix of sunflower seeds, peanuts, and millet on my bird feeders.
