Watching a very interesting video about picture stones and then....VIRELAI! ❤ I miss the festivals, I miss the sweet people of Virelai, and I very much miss Martin Seeberg and his Troll-friends. I had the honour of hosting them in my home for a small week, and I look back very fondly on that quite often! I hope that maybe this summer I can take a trip on my bike to Denmark and Sweden... Look at the video I posted at 3:26 (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SZy9HjjVEjc.html), because there it says not Mammen style, but Ringerike style. On the other hand, I think the different viking art style classifications sometimes are sort of bullshit, because they're based on the kinds of swirls and twirls that the entangled beasts make, and it can still end up looking quite similar to the untrained eye. However, with that being said, I think it's safer to assume it's Ringerike style because we're talking about stone carvings.
