Things I'll improve in next videos: - Cut the boring parts (running around) - 2 players per 1 video - I will pre-watch the video before recording it How to send me your recording? - I'm going to mention that in 2nd video.
Good series idea. I would like it more if you edit the replay and only show the parts that you think are worth commenting on. Often 95% of the gameplay is fine and there are only a few things that they can improve on. Maybe you can cover multiple coachings in one video?
I love this idea of coaching and learning skills that are somewhat overlooked, this will not only improve my own experience while hunting but many others. Making hunt showdown better.
Good idea for series, I would like to see some lower ranked players as well so there is more advice to give. This guy seemed to know what he was doing minus some teamwork stuff.
Maybe you could comment a 3 or 4 Star Match, more mistakes are made there. Most people play in that range (including me) and would help if you point out the biggest mistakes. Everytime i had a good match and Hunt decided to rank me one Star higher i am totaly getting destroyed. Watching people play 5/6 Stars matches seems like witchcraft. Hunt Coaching is a great idea, enjoyed the video! Great work!
Yo, great idea, I'll def watch this series. I guess yeah, a lot could be improved but that means work. Pre-watching the video would allow to know which parts to skip (and which games to show). If you skip the macro, running around and context play (compounds itineraries, etc), it would be important to do a recap before engaging the next sequence like "they did this and that, we heard a nitro in the distance", etc. For some advice (about strategic choking, rotating, red-bareling a meathead), maybe it could be cool to insert some bits from your own gameplay or footage you already put in other videos, in order to better show how else things could have been done. It would also be cool to not only see ultra clutch games or hightlights/lowlights. I understand this is youtube and we put what seems most worthy of sharing, but with coaching, I thing some more "usual", even "boring" games would be full of interesting insights, because these are the most relatable. Having the team wipe in the first 10 mins happens a lot to all of us I'd say. (and it also means less game time to review ^^)
I really like that idea of an educational series! I already learned something. Very useful tips here. I've been thinking about sending a video of mine, but my aim is terrible. No way I can compete with the guy in this video. It would be interesting, if you comment your own videos, like why you move / rotate, peek a.s.o.
Great format Rachta! Love to hear what you are thinking while playing. Of course you could improve on a lot of things but this would take much cutting effort. But I like the "easy" approach here so you can focus on the important things.
1:00 even my 3 star friends and I know that. All it takes is like 2 games where your teammates get burnt out and die with nothing you can do about it before it becomes obvious you NEED choke bombs
If you think about it it's basically: is your teammates life worth $25 hunt bucks, and a slot that would probably be empty or unused anyways? Even if you multiply that by 4 games where you might only have to use it once, those are good numbers. The potential payoff from extracting with a second bounty, or even just escaping with a pre-existing loadout is better than without the chokebombs. It's like an insurance policy for arsonist assholes. (and there is a very high risk of those in the bayou)
There are some tweaks you could give to him, like: Stop aiming to the ground... get yourself used to aiming forward always And for stamina issues, the best thing is to never go full out of stamina, but when out of stamina, wait at least more 2 or 3 seconds after the icon desapears to get the full stam refill.
neat idea :) the other day, i fondly remembered your random quickplay tutorial with the day1 dude who stumbled into you. That was mighty cute and pretty epic to watch him win by following your suggestions
I struggle with teamplay but love to think i’m a good independent player so this coaching video with tips from you about how to be better in a team really helps
Nice idea, maybe you can like comment the whole video and then cut the "empty" parts instead of skipping the recording forwards and backwards, it is kinda disruptive. I know that it will be more time consuming, but it will be more fluid and comprehensive to watch. :)
I'd love to send a clip on even though I'm sure there isn't a whole lot to improve upon other than some mistakes here and there but on that note have you thought about maybe a sub series from this where you watch very competent players and just talk about the thought process. It's funny I'm watching this though because I'm friends with who we're watching and I tried to teach him some of the basics in playing better lol. I'd love to send a decent clip in though, I've done 90 prestiges of crossbow only :)
Great idea! Will maybe need to submit stuff for reviewing 🤔 only change I as viewer would want is editing out the parts you are skipping. Then recap what happened if something important led into the situation we are looking at
i would love to see some coaching for solo vs trios match with what kind of loadouts is better and how we should rotate and reposition on a fight. Good video rachtaZ
Really cool format idea. I would suggest to pick demos which show good/bad examples of one paticular aspect of the game (for example positioning). Thus easier to learn for viewers so the video is not too overloaded with informations.
Great series idea. It's a little hard to hear you sometimes though when the people in the video are talking. Maybe some subtitles edited in for their talking turned down a bit so we can tell what you're both saying? :D
Maybe only do replays on single player? It's hard to figure out who's taking and what's being said when there's so many voices talking over each other. I'd recommend pausing the replay when you go in to make a point so it's clearly communicated. I watch a bunch of coaching videos that get uploaded to RU-vid for Dota. You might watch one and see how they do it for additional ideas.
It would be nice to review players who are a bit worse or explain why good players do certain things. For example when they sticky bombed the spider it would have been nice to pause and explain the scream that the player was waiting for.
Interesting series idea! I saw same concept with overwatch. Will be nice if any you viewer can send you a video of his gameplay. But not like this. There was not to much useful information, spend more time watching a gameplay and edit just running ect. More comments about strategy. So, good idea with big potential. P.S.- How can someone send you a his gameplay?
Great Series please do more, I would like to hear more of your plays during a pause before / midway through a play, perhaps pre watching them to get a better insight before the commentary. Great video
I agree, but would add that even good plays would be valuable to see and have pointed out. Maybe not so much for the posting player, but for the rest of us. ;)
Same here, I play with some 6 star friends sometimes and get wrecked all the time. There is such a huge difference between lower 5 star and real 6 star players..
I thought of a way to do a roaming boss! What if, after you banish the roaming boss, the bounty spawns back at it’s original compound at some sort of altar. This would eliminate the possibility of camping the bounty with a sniper if the boss is banished in an open area. Also, the boss will need to “refocus” to a new target or direction other than towards a player so that a single player isn’t chased endlessly. (Just my hope: Werewolf boss that regenerates health and howl at the moon at regular intervals or runs away from players to a new area [which resets it’s focus] Howl that can be heard across the map? Keep up the good work Rachta! Love your videos! Hopefully you have the ability to pass on my idea!
1 thing in a series like this that doesnt work well is that people would send their good rounds to be judged based upon those... when you play a good round usually you make less mistake it would be better if people would send clips of games that they fuck up hard so we can learn more in just 1 clip
I got a video posted of map where we cleaned up the lobby but I know its no where near good. If you'd give any tips let me know and I can show you the video (posted before some of the updates). I already know my sound isn't as quiet as I should be but on console I think people aren't that intense as they are in pc
It would be nice if you would say more to everything. like oh this is really bad because... thats a good idea because... never do this because. and maybe a: we know there are players here and there and you need to keep this in mind (as far as it is possible) + everything you mentioned you will change very nice video idea tho
Good vid idea but it may be better to mute their gameplay where there isnt important team communication going on. Hearing you talk over them is confusing
This team was decent, they were good shots but they still lacked a lot of combat/tactic intelligence. This game has to be played with friends. Randoms is just pure cancer, if you do just play solo and forget about team, which defeats the point of socializing. Solo against duos is Hunt and chill, but low money. Solo against trios is a coin flip. However, I tend to die almost always to the 3rd player in the team. Killing two hunters is easy, but the 3rd usually has full ammo, consumables, and tools left. It feels like the only way to succeed is to pull perfect ambushes. Hello, shotguns. Lastly, queing without full loads is always bad, if you do, you are trolling/griefing and can get ban/report...Not like Crytek does anything anyways, but at least you remove the other player from your matchmaking lists. Less cancer tier players. More fun matches. Rachta went over the bare minimum for team fights; which is almost a full loadout so might as well pay 30-60 for a cheap syringe to fill the last slot - don't be a cheapskate when your teammates are paying top dollar for their loadouts. If they don't have a medkit- don't even play with those people. No. Just don't. Lastly, this clip shows why combat intelligence or know how to read the flow of combat is more important than being a good shot: Keeping team in line of sight or close enough for a res, push with team because you teammate needs to reload after killing 2+ hunters, cover fire, rotate to avoid getting pinched (sometimes that means going full aggro on the weaker team to get their position) DONT IDLE ON THE BACK CROUCHED WHILE THE TEAM IS GETTING GUNNED DOWN. Don't trap the lair or peeks, trap the blind spots outside. Movement/position > being quiet !!! This isn't some backseat driving, this is actually having the skill to play Hunt; otherwise you are the reason why people uninstall this game. Game is fantastic, but the player base is the most atrocious I have ever experienced. Maaaaaybe the Rachta School can save the player base from the cancer.
