I mentioned this on JWW's channel, you should do a $1500 car challenge but get something that's incredibly dodgy for another participant - e.g. James gets a car for Sam, Sam gets a car for Paul etc. Each of you could come up with challenges that you all do but would be very difficult for the specific car you bought the other participant, e.g. a lowered car in an off road challenge, car that's prone to overheating in a hill climb challenge, car that uses a lot of fuel on an economy challenge.
Didn't it used to be a lot higher? I think it was around 330k last time I remember looking. I think it's been around the 300k+ region for a year now and I always remember thinking how strange it was that Sam has less subs than supercars of London as Paul is so lazy when it comes to vlogs... Weird.
As a Morgan owner myself (and a big fan of you, Sam), I am thrilled that you're trying one. And I love that the exemple you picked up to demonstrate Morgan is updating and refining industry methods is "stronger and better glue". HAHAHHAHA
In the late 70’s a friend of mine had a Morgan dealership in Devon and would get me to go to Malvern to get new and repaired Mogs in exchange for services on my cars, good deal eh? Lots of fun was had especially with the V8s
Good for you with the Morgan!!! Now that IS the mark of a true car enthusiast when you appreciate modern and classic cars. I am even more impressed with you now. Take care and have fun. Glen in London
What I want to know about the Morgan ? How many bhp, does it handle well, brake well, what about daily driving with such a long bonnet, is it an eye-catcher, is it noisy on the motorway, is the (wooden ?) frame rigid enough, what are the quirks (à la Doug Demuro), and last, but by no means least, does the smile on your face makes you look like the batman's joker ?
Just go everywhere in it Sam. The top is definitely cumbersome, but all is forgiven by the looks and sound. I'm sure the driving experience is singular also. I had an MGB and I miss it alot, but it was a little too rough. This would be the perfect blend of classic and modern.
your porsche is so perfect. I like everything about it: built-quality, looks, performance, reliability, consumption, ergonomics, price, daily useability ... I wanna drive one!
Now there's a proper British car! Absolutely stunning! Next up: MGB (or the *Frontline LE50* if you're looking for something more modern - Google it), Triumph Spitfire, and the Jensen Interceptor!
Omg sam I live a few miles away from the Morgan factory, I live in Worcester but it would be fantastic if I could meet you at the Morgan for a good laugh
My dad owns a 1979 Morgan 4/4, it’s amazingly slow and very basic but it’s brilliant. Also even with the roof up you still get water coming through the footwell so forget about it 😂
In my opinion You make the best videos, cuts, music with your videos and overall just most entertaining car content on RU-vid right now. I love your videos and enjoy your journey through the car world. Keep up the good work!
Sorry, I am not familiar with this whole verification thing... can someone tell me about it? What does it mean, are there any benefits and what are they?
And another good car to consider for this could be a caterham kit car, like the one in my profile pic. Had it just over 2 years and its the most fun you’ll ever have for the amount it costs! It’s like a go kart on the roads, grips like its nothing.
All the love to Morgan for how they produce cars, I love them. As an American however, I cringed when I heard the motor was from a Mustang and saw the tachometer. I have no doubt this car will be a hoot, but that motor leaves something to be desired in a mustang. Hopefully it can come alive in the Morgan!
I've got a somewhat "behind the scenes" question for you, Sam. Did you just leave the Cayman at the Morgan factory, or did a crew member drive it back for you? If so, tell 'em they have the World's best job. Heck, I'd volunteer to do that!
Wow, the roof is a lot easier since I last drove a +8. Back then in the 80s it took some 20 minutes to put it on and you couldn't do it single handedly.
Love the intros...and the cool music....🎷🎶👍😀 Morgan's are absolute Classics whether the 4 cylinder 6 or 8...engines! Massive amounts of Character..!!! 👌
Very pleased your having a Morgan Adventure, perhaps more joyful in the summer days, but hay why not experience some thing real made by real people in an amazing place in Malvern, why not drink the water too.
As Sam has said multiple times, he has secondary income. Also, I highly doubt any of Samsung vehicles are ever truly "owned" credit and payment balancing isn't difficult. Generally with good choices of vehicle (depreciation rate) and a sweet ass APR deal on your finance owning something like a Ferrari 360 for a year only really costs you £2k not including running costs etc.
I hope being back in a car that sounds even halfway decent compared to the horrible 718 engine, was a good experience. ..and speaking of sound: Please please go for a "make as little sound as possible" exhaust for the Porsche. I like how it sounded in todays video, going down a motorway with no sound at all. More of that would make me happy :)
Great video. There is something special and cool about a Morgan. That beautiful classic shape. And the 3-Wheeler is one of the coolest cars you can buy new at the moment. Have fun. Can't wait to see the other videos with this one.
Gratz with the 300k! Have you ever considered test driving a Porsche 944 Turbo ? They are great cars, very underrated, and are cheap! I would definitely love to at least see you test drive it!:D
I went to check out Paul's channel for the 2nd hatchback segment. Didn't see any relevant titles, watched some 15min video in which his mug was only off screen for (literally) 3 seconds. Didn't bother checking the other videos lol
I think it would be great if you 3 turn into like a new top gear? Maybe create a new channel and upload videos sort of like a top gear aspect? I think you guys would do amazingly well if you do that (because who does that really)
Great 🇬🇧🇬🇧 British car . Love take on for a speen. What model get the BMW power plant? More detail on the tour would be nice Sam. Ford v6 in car like that would have some pep for sure.
I’m an American and I feel like nothing says British motoring like a Morgan or perhaps a broken down Rover. I would love to know is it a head turner still? Here it certainly would be but what about in London?
CREATIVESLINK a jaguar with a blown head gasket from electrical issues making the cooling fans inoperable. A $150 issue causing a $3500 issue. All hail lucas electronics. Thats what this big dumb american sees as brittish motoring.
I think next time you should do classic hot hatches such as the 1.8 MK1 Golf gti and the 1.9 Peugeot 205 gti etc, then compare which cars you had the most fun in, the new or the old....
2 things: Firstly, the music is awesome in this video. Keep up the work! Second, for the next tour you do with the guys you should each pick an Italian convertible to drive the Targa Florio in Sicily! That would be the perfect road trip!
