@@RedMenace0 I mean to be fair this takes in a heavily alternate version of 1890s where Louisiana turned into an apocalyptic hell hole. If you're gonna go Dark Western Fantasy might as well go ahead and be crazy eith it.
it does have some of the better gun mechanics out there, no gun is better than one another they all are good in their own area and you just have to know how to use them
I love how utterly nasty and grungy most of the weapons are. These aren't fresh off the line or emaculately-kept museum pieces; these things have seen action, perhaps for a long while, even.
Hey, this is really great! Although I was wondering how you pulled it off. What’s the best way to get access to all weapons at once like this? It would be very useful for a video I want to make.
Whoah, fancy seeing you here. Does that mean we'll be getting a Hunt Showdown personal subjective weapon tier list for Hunt Showdown after the ones for BF1?
@@cleeiii357 Ah hello haha, well I'm not nearly good enough at Hunt and it would take way too long to get the experience and clips needed for that, but if you're into gun history and function you may like the video that I WILL make.
A big thing im noticing, is that in this game, continuing to fire the weapons your hearing becomes very muffled, and you barely hear any other background noises. Actually representing a real issue of using firearms, they're so darn loud that prolonged usage can cause hearing issues, and even deafness.
That's called tinnitus. Once your eardrums endure sound past a certain decibel limit, it produces a ringing sound. Experiences differ but sound can become muffled like in the game. You'll be able to hear again after brief exposure but the long-term damage and ringing is irreparable. It's very scary IRL and it sets me off when I hear that ringing stuff in games. Thankfully, Hunt Showdown just muffles it which I'm a bit more comfortable with.
yeahh, i guess they chose this way because normally in the more favorable of use cases, you only need one shotgun round to kill a hunter, and the same situation for the rifle (not counting headshots) is normally two shots so my guess would be that the drilling as the more well known models, the rifle shot would be underutilized, and it would be just a Caldwell (a double barrel shotgun) with a extra thing attached.
Some really awesome weapons in here and it's cool to see stuff like the Auslof device and a play on the Howell Enfield conversion but some of this stuff is just bizarre. A lot of the bolt action animations are weightless and robotic and on almost all of them the shells eject by appearing two inches above the gun in the wrong spots. The way they handle recoil on the heavier stuff like the Nitro Express i think it was called and the hand cannon variants is really weird and jarring too and some weapons are slow for no reason, the C96 had stripper clips just so you wouldn't have to load round by round. Finally the way they do scopes is probably the worst i've ever seen in basically every way, full stop. Not hard to see why people REALLY like this game, also not hard to see why it never hit it big.
Hunt Showdown has a very amateurish "Double A / indie FPS" feel in its combat, which is surprising because Crytek are old dogs in this business. I swear the game would be 10 times more popular if it had good gunplay on the level of Call of Duty and such.
@@DragonKing9500 I didn’t write anything about the rifle, I was talking about the barrel chambered for a gun, that is, buckshot bullet, etc. but not about the rifle, what a translation error you have
If they had added a solo mode or a co-op mission mode it would have been perfect but I could barely play for a few hours before getting thrashed by someone who bought all the best weapons and then I had to wait for my loadout definitely a cool game but it fell into the shit that was battle royales
You can one hit kill with any weapon in the game, and even if some of them are stronger than others, the "weaker" ones are cheaper. A year ago they changed it so you get every gun, even the expensive ones, from level one, so it's just a skill issue on your side
It would've been perfect for you* Crytek wouldnt release the same game but without pvp since the vast majority of players play hunt FOR the pvp. It doesn't function as a fun standalone co op or single player game since it's gameplay is built around pvp, with pve only being a compliment. Only a tiny handful of players would be interested, and that's not a sustainable product.
Title is a bit click baity, just because a weapon has an alternate version with minor changes doesn't make it a whole separate thing. Should be something more along the lines of "All 30+ weapons and their variants"
