Hunter Lawrence and Stilez Robertson Incident/Crash/Fight - Southwick 2022 - 250 Moto 1 

In a post race interview with Swapmoto Stilez says that he made a mistake and takes responsibility for cross jumping Hunter and didn't mean anything by it. (Southwick is sandy and grabs/sinks your bike into all different directions) He said he was going to apologize but you know what happened... Why are so many fans angry with Hunter or Robertson? I thought the whole exchange was pretty entertaining and creates a whole new story line for the rest of the season.

We can debate until dark about what was right or wrong, the point is this is what we need. Our sport is only held up by us hardcore fans and riders ourselves. We need outside attention. Casuals. I know there alot of people who don't care for this sort of thing in motocross, but it's what's needed. We need conflict. Something to sell. If you don't race, you don't know what you're really looking at with these guys out there. You're not seeing the immense skill. So there has to be a story/drama to keep the average person engaged. I just want to see more than a handful of the top guys getting paid. It takes such great athletes with crazy skill to do what they do and they deserve so much more. I just want to see them get it.

I bet he took up for his brother when Jett ruined Forkner's supercross seaon. He probably sees that as a 'racing incident', but doing it to one of them is dirty.

Like the Lawrence bros but lost some respect for Hunter yesterday. He intentionally tried to take out Stilez on the late moto pass then pulls that post-race crap. No way Stilez intentionally wanted a collision b/c it could have taken himself out too. That was a racing incident and Hunter did not handle it well at all.

During the post race interviews I heard someone yell “hey hey hey!” And then the announcer said “there was an altercation between Robertson and Lawrence but it’s been handled” I couldn’t see the podium from where I was though

Motocross needs rivalries bad ! If you look through the years the most interesting times are when riders hater each other. It's become way to cordial over the last few seasons. Everyone is afraid to ride aggressive because they don't want to be shunned by the community. If everyone rode pissed off this would be the highest rated sport on television. We might even get a split screen at commercials 🙄

There are better ways to sell and promote MOTOCROSS out to the public. Just tell AMA and all race promoters to stop the greed and spend more money to all the racers! At least bring more financial supports all the way to the amateur racers. There are lots of riders that only wishes they could afford it. I am not asking any direct monetary supports. At least PROMOTE more programs and contingencies to up and coming “talented riders”.
