Hunter Original Ceiling Fan | DAMAGED

Seeing fans like this at a habitat restore makes me a happy and sad at the same time. Happy because I can acquire them and fix them up but sad because people would actually get rid of them in the first place. Age of disposability I suppose.

The look of low speed to me (with the way the blades are bent like that), it somehow almost reminded me of some spinning carnival ride or something, lol.

Oddly enough it doesn't wobble as crazily as I expected it to, it's a shame about what happened to it, but luckily you can slap on another set of blades and some new blade arms, and it's good to go!

I found a Hunter Original on a curb recently, and it only came with four blades. So I borrowed a blade from Hunter Low Profile (NOT Original Low Profile since holes don't have correct spacing, a regular Low Profile from 1997), and I adjusted the pitch by putting something between the blade arm and the motor to make it more like 15°, it wobbled just as much as the one in this video. 4 other blades aren't really perfectly lined up either meaning it did wobble even with four blades installed, just not as much. I'm not that worried about the wobble from blades from different fans when it comes to Original cause of the U-bolt mounting bracket. New blade arms for Original costs over $100 now, and I can see why.

I may agree though, I hope you'll be able to get some new blade-arms someday whenever you have the chance.

How is it not wobbling much? I expected it to wobble like a fan missing a blade

It takes a special kind of goof ball to rest a 50 pound fan on its blade arms. Anyway, I hope you manage it fix this one. It looks really good.

wow it hardly wobbles even though those blades are screwed completely

this fan is repairable this is one of the last ones with the full size motor in them up to 2001 before it got shipped to Taiwan from 2002-present with a smaller downgraded motor but like all Hunter Originals it still retained the oil bath system. all you need to do to your fan is to replace the blade brackets, find the lower switch housing cover unless you use a light kit, and to find the canopy then its complete.

that fan its till okay but you need to repair it with ceiling fan ballen kit that will work and must add oil and last fix the blade
