@@Acolis I just feel like its everyone's fault there. The hunter should have been more aware but then he only had a few frames to see the pet run down, group should have known they are playing an indie game thus read up on safe spots especially for dungeons and playing with others without voice coms.
its me lol, honestly my intrusive thoughts really wanted to see how much damage the shark would do, but i didn't know he would Thrash, so basiclly took 12 hits instantly
that hunter had his pet on passive and let it attack individual targets with pet attack/pet follow. Would be his fault if the pet was on assist but this was on blizzard if you ask me. Only thing he could have done was notice his pet was running down and command the pet to stay. edit: that warrior at the end pulled all those mobs for basically the same reason, weird charge pathing
@@calvinsomething5348 Yes, although there is a ramp and when he started the battle he might have not looking at his pet and the pet goes down and vanishes from his sight and he did not see where his pet was. I haven't played hunter at classic, so I wouldn't have known that standing close to wall could make pet do this. I would say it's partly his and partly blizzards fault. If I ever decide to play hunter I will pay extra attention to my pet :).
@@Dozing09 Bullshit. You also have attack, follow and stay. I used that back in the day when pet AI was even worse. Put pet on stay, make the jump, take control of the pet and make the jump as the pet and then change pet to follow again. What you do NOT have in classic is assist. If you have on defensive your pet will only attack if either you or your pet is attacked, it will never run into a mob even if you are attacking. But stay is there.
reason the priest got the coward debuff in that mak'gora was when the first mak'gora had already started the priest immediately ran back into town maybe to mail his gold away or something, everyone watching outside org was like WTF? then he came straight back out 30 secs later with the debuff and they restarted the second mak'gora lol, safe to say he didnt know about the coward debuff.
We gotta stop blaming players for Blizzard bugs. This is exactly why nothing gets fixed lol. Retail players actually complain and unsub, and thus their shit gets fixed.
Agree, but retail actually has devs assigned to bugfixing. Classic runs on skeleton crew and has additional corporate bs to overcome to be even given a permission to fix a bug, unless there have been recent structural/policy changes by Microsoft.
even slow mo on the hunter clip their pet is on screen for like 2 seconds. i don't blame them for not noticing when they have it on passive and not fighting
14:00 when I saw this, I first though this would have been amazing to pull like this as mage. And then.. there is a mage in the group and doesn't take it's chance. Best stacked enemies every to bomb and at the end the blizzard was shredding the 2 remaining mobs.
Hunter did that on purpose. Right when the pet takes damage the hunter pulls away from the wall the let the pet return. He knew standing there like that would send the pet to the bottom.
I think that those people who needs an addon to tell if they are at low health, are also the ones with their health bar on the top left corner of the screen... Someone needs to tell these people that you can move your health bar, aswell as target health bar, therefor not straining your eyes... It seriously cracked me up, that some guy has an addon that sounds like gunshots, when at low health 🤣
That hunter wipe is why i will not be grouping in dungeons with pet classes in hc for dungeons. I know itll be harder to form but i counter the amount of times pet classes have wiped groups for me in dungeons, the number would be very high.
6:25 I don't think the mage had agro on any of those until he cast blink. He may have been able to just stand still and start hearthing again once the mobs weren't on top of him.
Im always paying attention to my pet, he SHOULD HAVE NOTICED the cat run down, and IMMEDIATLY SAID RUN, instead of fighting the mobs, his fault for not being aware even if it was a blizz glitch.
yea but you can argue that anyone else in the party could have noticed the pet run past them and down. He didnt misplay or do anything on his part. It was a shitty interaction caused by Blizzard.
As a hunter, you need to always be aware of where your pet is. So, its partially hunter fault but yeah definitely looked like a bug too, unless they have a macro on their keys that we couldn't see (blocked by Xaryu's cam window) that causes the pet to assist tank (where the tank maybe had a mob from below targeted when the hunter clicked it, causing the pet to move to, I know they had a macro from the looks of it for their pet attack that they clicked after the warrior pulled the first group there on the top, where you can see the pet attack icon being activated, though strange being on passive and running all the way down unless they did not spam the tank assist macro (if that's what they were using, not sure its possible in Retail Classic, I know in Vanilla it was possible to make some pretty deep level macros with lua and scripts that could do all kinds of things, I have not played classic or retail in a few years))
the addon for the mage has gotta be a Weak Aura, top tier addon & i get his thought process on low health sound. He uses it so it doesnt have to watch his HP and gets alerted he's low. Kinda silly though with that massive WA HP bar
My whole group including me got wiped because of Warlock's pet in RFC, he didn't dismiss it when we did the skip after invoker and pulled literally everything before the skip and not even that it went ahead and pulled group ahead of us too, only the hunter got out in the end. Healer died first, I was off-healer, but had aggro on two mobs, couldn't get heal in time on healer, warrior instantly started running, got out of my range to heal him, died ahead of us and the group came to greet us, I was second highest in threat before he died, I died pretty much instantly. Ironically, I didn't need anything in RFC, I only did it to help.
I played paladin during vanilla, does bubble and hearth not work in classic? Also, that wasn't the hunter's fault. His pet was on passive the entire time. It was the pet that bugged out.
Was doing the Jaedenar cave today in ferales on my 55 paly, write in /1, LFG/LFM for the quest, dousing the flmes or something like that. A player writes, inv, i invite. Mouseover see its a hunter, immediately write, sorry i dont group with hunters leave group. Yeah played since launch and all the way through, but no way i am risking my hc character on what is 99,5% a 12 year old kid, or someone that is kognitive not able to play a pet class in a group and especially hc environment. Rather take my chances jumping with closed eyes onto the lift in uc or thousand needles, surely higher chance of surviving.
Wrong take. The hunters pet ran down like that because he took a low loyalty level pet into a dungeon. He isn’t even feeding it to keep it Max happiness as you can see in the clip. The pet is probably loyalty level 3 or below and went aggressive despite what the Hunter set and z-axis aggroed a mob below the ramp. While blizz should fix z-axis issues, this is entirely the hunters fault for not understanding their class.
@@Drezbi456 The pet was happy it only lowered after it died which is normal. The thing that happened is a pet pathing bug that exists in a few areas in classic and has existed in vanilla as well. The pet is trying to get to an area next to the hunter that doesn't exist and the game assigns a new pathing location it thinks is closest, which in this case was at the wrong z axis.
pet has growl on, enough said. hunters dont realize that in a group growl is kind of useless and a waste of focus. better if your pet spams claw/bite and not waste focus on growl. And why is the hunter not telling his pet to attack his target? that would of pulled the pet to the first pack. Hunters / Warlocks. Please use my key bindings. - Shift+Mousewheel up to attack / Shift+Mousewheel down for passive. You can still mousewheel to zoom in and out, but shift and mouse wheel works really well controlling the pets.
Bro the mage nearly let his warri die because he didn't nova... and the warri doesn't go in def stance. Love those clips, shows that classic player have balls to play hardcore but are really bad compared to retail player.
Lots of the players are probably the same, but in the clips you only see when things go wrong. Also so much time goes to questing or content is otherwise easy that you don't even need to use your "oh, shoot" skills and they don't get engrained to your brain unlike if you do arenas in retail, everything is used constantly.
It's clearly not the hunter fault , And he couldn't do Anything . 1 - i never had issue passing this gate whit any kind of pet , is not like he could anticipate that 2- the moment he realize that the pet was bugged going down it's already too late pet have aggro , he can't dismiss cause pet LOS and heaven if he notice it at time and stop the pet moving , he doesn't have FD So pet die and moob was goin for hunter .
To be fair, I don’t think people at level 20 are playing ready to dismiss their pet on a moments notice because of a pathing bug, and that’s assuming they even know it’s a thing in the game at all. It’s like falling off a flight path, sure you could block before you hit the floor and save yourself, but it’s still a stupid bug and I’d ultimately blame the game and not the player.
Dismiss pet is a 5 second cast that requires the pet to be on line of sight and 10 yards away. You only dismiss pet when you're jumping off a ledge or something like that. Other than that, when walking on normal ground, the pet should just follow you and move around you if you hug a wall or something like that.
I've rolled hunter since WotLK and this is the hunter's fault. things go sideways all the time, there are game glitches, etc.. Coming around that wall onto the spiral he should have noticed his pet was not beside him, then when it was running on the wall he should have known that's not normal, then when the pet actually jumps down- that's the last straw. There were likely 2-3 moments where this could have been averted before it happened and the hunter didn't catch any of those moments.
Bruh. You are so crazy to think catching that split second of his cat in frame was supposed to be caught. When you see the cat you could almost assume it was just taking a weird path to attack the mobs, he didn't see it go down below. Rewatch the clip, not the hunters fault.
@@nfc14g huh? It's almost never beside you in combat. He saw it running towards the mobs the tank was on when it was on the rail and that was the last frame...
The Priest Mak gora, wasnt about the Spell Resistance Potion, it was about the Greater Shadow Potion which absorbs 1,3k - 4k shadow dmg, which on this lvl means hes immune to the priest, which is ok to use on lvl 60 mak gora's but not on this level, because you are just bound to die because of that. Quite Honorless to go for such a thing in a 30's duel in my Opinion, but w/e.
At the end of the day they wouldn’t have wiped if they didn’t bring a hunter. Simple as that. Doesn’t matter how good of a player they are if bugs like this wipe teams. Could’ve avoided it with better pet management? I’d rather just bring another class that I don’t have to worry about
That pet was out of control but why didn't he notice it when it went insane and ran down the ramp on speed?? LMAO I woulda called it back immediately, but also why is the Hunter against the wall and going towards the mobs first anyway? Chill bro
Wow vanilla pets can run near you and even infront of you. I think how it works there is a move point some yeards infront of the character that updates frequently. So even if a pet runs infront of you it gets the new intended way point. (Observed this on Warlock povs with the Fellhunter running infront of the mounted WArlock and switching path a fraction after the player turns) Like an invisible gtae projected infront of the player when moving. While he was close to the wall, the move point was exactly on the railing. So it goes there, new move point is off the railing, hinter keeps jumping into the wall bugging out hthe move point and thats what it tries to do.
I think that hunter knew that is a blizzard bug and pulled intentional... he stood exactly to the wall all the time and he know where is his pet. He just wanted to act like it wasn't intentional...
Another bit of proof that these streamers know NOTHING about this game and make easy money from laziness... the addon that shows you upgrades is Pawn..... literally been around for YEARS and a staple addon used by THOUSANDS of people and it's a clear surprise to this guy- a main stream streamer... lmao guys please stop making yourselves look so dumb (not a personal attack, i just keep seeing this more and more often, it's like being a professional plumber going "what that thing you guys are using you keep calling a snake-it seems to work really well...") it's really embarrassing.
