NOO! They should never be termed as monkey like. I am a nurse with special needs children in the US and some of the kids are worse. They have developmental delay. If you get to know these kids, you have no idea, they are soo clever, I mean soo intelligent. It is unfortunate where we are coming from. I see soo many potential in those kids, if they should have the right guidance. God bless you any way.

However, I am quite concerned about the “picture caption” with a picture of one of the kids with a monkey face. I know that the picture goes with the storyline but for the sake of the children who are also humans despite their condition, a better image could have been used instead. I know you have a kind heart and will understand my concerns. Thank you.

Some of these children can be found in Europe too ...not only in Ghana or being spiritual

It doesn't have to do with midnight hunting or juju. There are more children like these children in europe, Australia, America and in many other parts of the world. Their situation is even worse than that of these children. But, here, abroad, the government cares for them. They attend special schools free of charge. A bus picks them from their homes and bring them back, too. Excursions are organised for them. You hardly see them outside. That is why foreigners here don't know that there are such children with unthinkable disabilities here.

The age of the mother when they give birth can also affect the babies. The older the mother the higher the chances of having kids with special. Needs.

Uncle Kofi has done nothing wrong by bringing this video onboard. What has caption got to do with this. Let's focus on how they will get food, clothing,shelter and good health.

Yes Kofi: it’s extremely difficult to care for this population of children. The Education Ministry should have a special School for them. To be cared for by Doctors, Nurses and Teachers year round. Problem is their symptoms may never change. I am coming from personal experience of teaching this population for 20years. The children are the government’s responsibility. And they can learn.

There's definitely significant genetic abnormalities, given the father's own disfigurement around the hands. Maybe vitamin deficiencies, etc, etc. Assessment is crucial to establish diagnosis & formulate treatment plan. Albeit, let's not totally dismiss the mother's revelations too about their bestial mannerisms & ability to use herbs. Where did he learn that? We can clearly see genetic defects in the father upon observing his limbs n featuresZ it’s most likely both parents have some genetic defects causing these children with Down syndrome. The genetics of both parents and children needs to be checked out. It might benefit even the healthy children also to prevent future reoccurrence with new partners. Or it could be also related to some parasite in the wild game he hunts. Either way it will be an important study case for the country

I think the thumbnail is deceptive and your opening was ignorant, I worked for a family back in Italy like that, the woman had 3 children and 2 of them were in a wheelchair, everything had to be done for them, I have seen families here in the USA like that because sometimes, both parents carry 50% of a particular gene that can cause genetic disorders like this as in the case of the family I worked for, not everything is spiritual,,, my school mate lost 4 of her siblings, she’s the only one left because her parents had the sickle cell and they unfortunately passed that on to their kids.
